3. Cars 3 (2017)
When Lightning McQueen is thrown out of the field of racing, you know his journey back into the sport will be worth seeing! He must now take it upon himself to make a fabulous return. But, he needs help for that matter.
He seeks the assistance of a race technician who wants to be a racing champion herself one day. Her inspiration to do so is none other than the late Hudson Hornet. What follows is a long road full of bumps and turns. Watch life put McQueen to his biggest test ever as a super racing car.
4. Planes (2013)
Dusty Crophopper is a small cropduster plane with great ambition to be a top-class racer. There is only one thing holding him back now, his fear of heights. Good for him; he will now be training under Skipper, who is a veteran fighter.
Skipper trains him amply to be able to compete in the Wings Across the World championship. Dusty uses his ability to the fullest and impresses everyone around him with his astonishing potential. His peers take him seriously and realize that he is no less than a champion. But on the path to success, he gains several enemies envious of him, but also several friends who commend him along with his inspiration.
5. Herbie Fully Loaded (2005)
NASCAR racing runs in Maggie Peyton’s blood. She is the third racer in her family to get hold of the #53 Volkswagen Bug. She is capable and has a great competitive spirit. But she faces a problem when her father, Ray Peyton Sr., stops her from pursuing her dream out of his overprotective nature.
As time passes, Ray promises Maggie a car before she goes to finishes college. They visit a junkyard where several used cars have been stored. While Maggie formerly eyed a Nissan, she ended up returning with a ’63 Volkswagen Bug named Herbie. With time it is revealed that Herbie is not an inanimate thing but a car with a mind of its own! As Maggie tries to find an alternate career, Herbie has other ideas for her future.
6. Turbo (2013)
Turbo is but a snail, but his name is also a reference to the Speed he has recently achieved due to having met with an accident. You read that right, a turbo snail indeed. Upon receiving this ability, Turbo aspires bigger- to compete in the most prestigious race in the world.
The race is called Indianapolis 500, where he is helped by his determined snail crew in achieving what has previously been dubbed impossible. He is a daring dreamer, and he is going to prove that no dream is too small or big to look over.
7. Getaway (2013)
Brent Magna’s life turns upside down when one day, he returns home to find out that his wife, Leanne, has gone missing. He then gets a mysterious call from a man only referred to as The Voice throughout. The Voice says he is the one who kidnapped his wife.
The Voice puts Magna on an elaborate set of charades that he must uptake if he wishes to see his wife safe and well. His task is to steal a certain Shelby Mustang that has been specially customized and is found in a parking lot. With lesser time on his hands, Magna has been warned about the dire consequences his wife will face if he does not follow the given instructions.
8. Tom and Jerry: The Fast and The Furry (2005)
When Tom and Jerry ruin their whole house during one of their cat-mouse chases, their only chance to get a house is to compete in a global race. The winners of the race have been promised a lavish, fancy house in return.
They go on a crazy adventure while competing with several able and maddening contestants who will do anything to get the house of their dreams. They visit Mexico, then all the way to the Amazon jungle. They also eliminate a soccer mom who gets disposed of in a pit of quicksand! Perhaps Tom and Jerry’s craziest adventure yet.
9. Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007)
RV hits the jackpot of a lifetime when he meets with Harry, whose Racing Company, Speeding Saddles, has been failing for a long time. RV proves to be the best racer he has ever managed and brings great prosperity to the company’s reputation.
His life becomes even better when he is met with Radhika, the woman he marries. Life is good for him until he meets with an accident sometime later. His performance deteriorates with time, and his skill at the track goes down. A life full of money and fame seems to come falling down. His family becomes his sole support system in getting him to battle the demons that haunt him and regain his self-esteem.

10. Superfast! (2015)
This spoof movie for Fast and Furious is not that bad either, and I must mention it before I get to the original movies. The story begins when the undercover cop Lucas White joins hands with a Los Angeles gang full of illegal street racers, all working under Vin Serentino.
These aggressive racers are trying to one-up Juan Carlos de la Sol, a Los Angeles crime Kingpin whose cash has been hidden in a Taco Bell. Watch this crazy gang on their even crazier plan to turn Taco Bell upside down in order to get to the cash.
11. Baby Driver (2017)
The baby may be partially hearing impaired, but that does not stop him. If the right music plays, he can pull off the wildest moves known in races. He works under Doc, who uses Baby’s great skills to make his planned robberies a success.
When Baby tries to break free from serving Doc along with his girlfriend Debora, Doc tries to press him into coming back to being a robber. His life changes for the worse in trying to resist Doc’s demands. Baby must now utilize his skills to stop Doc and his men from stealing his life from him.
12. Logan Lucky (2017)
Jimmy Logan has just lost his job, but now he has other things in mind. He gets his sister Mellie and brother Clyde onto his elaborate charade of robbery. They are going to rob the Charlotte Motor Speedway while a NASCAR race goes on.
To do so, they will require the skills of Joe Bang, who is a skilled safe-cracker serving time in prison currently. What is now left to do is to sneak Joe out of prison, blow up the entire race car vault, keep the cash that is stored there, sneak Joe back into the prison, and then have Jimmy reach the beauty pageant that his daughter is taking part in. But they must look out, for the Logan family curse is not easy to get rid of.
13. Death Proof (2007)
Julia, Arlene, and Shanna are girlfriends in Austin, Texas, and are just having a regular day out with each other. They meet at the bar to drink and smoke and end up making out with their boyfriends before leaving Lake LBJ to spend some time away together.
They encounter the Stuntman Mike along the way. Mike takes Pam out for a ride in his “death-proof” car. Over a dozen months later, Mike shows up again. This time he targets three women Abernathy, Zoe, and Kim. They are in Lebanon, but they are not just any women. They will fight back and have Mike pay for what he does.
14. Ford v. Ferrari (2019)
It is the mid-1960s, and dominating the motorsport world are the Rosso-Corsa cars by Enzo Ferrari. Partly as a result of this, Carrol Shelby, who is an American car designer, has been forced to retire from the field upon his win in the daring “24-hour Le Mans” endurance race.

17. The Fast and The Furious (2006)
Sean Boswell is an American teenager whose high school life has mostly been spent being a loner. When he gets caught up in illegal car racing, he catches the police’s attention. To prevent jail time, he is sent to live with his father in his cramped apartment in Tokyo.

After eluding authorities for several years, they are now going to put together a team of elite and skilled racers. While they never thought of getting together as allies, they face another common enemy, an evil businessman who wants to kill them.
But there is more to the problem; Federal Agent Luke Hobbs is a vicious man who never lets his targets get away from his reach. While Hobbs runs a full assault on them, he soon loses track of time and the difference between good and bad.

20. Fast and Furious 6 (2013)
After the heist in Rio De Janeiro, Brian, and Dom, along with their team, crossed Kingpin’s territorial boundary while also acquiring $100 million in the process. But they have also been separated from each other and scattered across the world.
They cannot return where they started or back to their homes, leaving a void inside each of them. Unfortunately, Hobbs is still operating and tracks an organization of dangerous racers.
The mastermind behind this organization is being helped by a former lover of Torreto’s, Letty. Dom’s crew assembles to stop this organization by competing with them on a local level in return for a full pardon so they all be free.
21. Furious 7 (2015)
Furious 7 packs in even more thrill and action than before, all set in a complex chase. Just when Dom and the others feel they have left an enemy behind and can move further, they face another threat. While they eradicated the terrorist Owen Shaw, his brother Deckard Shaw takes it upon him to seek revenge.
He kills Dom’s crewmates one by one, and things worsen when a Somalian Terrorist, Jakarde, and a strange government official called Mr. Nobody lock horns in a power struggle to gain the “God’s Eye,” which is a lethal program capable of turning vehicles into deadly weapons. Dom and the crew struggle amply while they eradicate one threat and then another while also trying to keep God’s Eye from getting into either’s hands.
22. The Fate of The Furious (2017)
Dom and his crew gain some sense of a peaceful life during this time. Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon at the moment. Brian and Mia have abstained from the world they were previously in. the crew now has a normal life for the most part.
Things change drastically when a mysterious woman lures Dom into the world he thought he had left behind. He cannot escape the life of crime after all. On top of that, he also is betrayed by those near him. This worsens situations for all people.
The crew must get together and globetrot yet again to stop a threat of an individual who plans to cause havoc on the entire world, but most of all, to bring back home the man who had brought them all together.
23. F9: The Fast Saga (2021)
Dom and the crew face another big problem in the form of an international terrorist. But things seem even worse when Dom and Mia find out that the terrorist is no other than their own brother, who has been estranged for too long.
Dom’s ideals are severely challenged when the rival he is to face is family. His life with Letty and their son is shaken from the grounds when this threat arrives. In a race with time to save his loved ones and make up for sins from his past, even Dom knows that peace is not long-lasting in this world.
24. Overdrive (2017)
Overdrive is the story of two brothers who went to France for better opportunities and a brighter future, but they soon find themselves entangled in the matters of a crime boss, resulting in their being catapulted into the world of crime itself.
The brothers are car thieves themselves, but their lives are changed drastically upon coming here. They are Andrew and Garrett Foster. Their stealing expertise lies in gorgeous, exotic cars designed for luxury. They get hired for a handsome sum of money, and their mission is to steal the 1937 Bugatti, which costs millions of Euros.
They end up getting caught, which makes the crime boss Jacomo Morier furious at them. To save themselves, they must steal from Morier’s arch-enemy Max Klemp. And they are not stealing just any car; they are stealing Klemp’s favorite car.
25. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
A story set in apocalyptic times, Mad Max: Fury Road goes on in faraway places of the world where no one usually goes. The world’s landscape has almost entirely become a desert where surviving is a luxury only a few can afford.
People fight each other basic needs; humanity loses its order and essence with time. On the run are two rebels who hold the ability to restore order in this lost world. They are on the run and might just prove useful.
One of them is Max, a quiet but able man who is simply trying to spend his days recovering from the demise of his wife and children. And then there is Furiosa, who is a woman of action. She believes that all will be fine if she can just cross the desert and reach her homeland.
26. Death Race (2008)
It is the year 2012; the world faces a great threat of unemployment and other crisis. American citizens watch in bafflement as criminals who had been ruled out for life imprisonment race their cars modified with armor across Terminal Island.
While a lot of competitors meet at the end of their lives, those who are able to win achieve freedom from imprisonment. Jensen Ames is a steelworker who is charged with the death of his wife on the same day on which he lost his job.
He is approached by Warden Claire Hennessy, a manipulative person who asks him to race as a dead driver called Frankenstein or spend the rest of his life in a jail cell. Ames finds himself caught up in this elaborate scheme of things.
27. Death Race 2 (2010)
Carl “Luke” Lucas is a robber who lands in prison at Terminal Island, which is full of ample security. The reason? He messed up a robbery attempt at a bank. He is now put to fight in the Death Match, which is a game set up by the Weyland Corporation and works under the pay-per-view format.
Now to make even more profit, September Jones, who is a TV Producer, comes up with an idea called “Death Race”. It is a deadly game that involves inmates competing in races with highly modified and advanced cars. Carl now has the option of either rotting in jail or winning five races to gain freedom.
28. Ben Hur (1959)
Ben Hur was set in the 1st century. It revolves around Ben Hur Judah, who is not only a wealthy Jewish prince but also a well-known merchant in Jerusalem. Soon enough, his friend Messala comes as the commanding officer in the Roman Legions, along with a new governor. While the two friends are happy to see each other, their differing political opinions put a huge barrier between them.
When the welcome parade takes place, a tile from Ben’s house falls down and hurts the governor. Even when knowing Ben not to be guilty, Messala sends his friend away while putting his mother and sister in jail. What remains now is seeking revenge.
29. Days of Thunder (1990)
Cole Trickle is a great racer. But there is a problem even when his skills are unmatched. He has a hot temper that can put him at odds with almost anyone. His life changes when he is approached with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
While Trickle struggles with his temper, which ruins his relationship with both rivals and teammates, he is approached by Tim Daland, who is a used car salesman. Daland offers to Trickle the opportunity to be his driver at the upcoming NASCAR Cup. When Trickle proves to be a good option, he is paired with Harry Hogge, a former crew chief. Even though they find it hard to get together, they must excel at what they love.

30. Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006)
Ricky Bobby is considered a legendary NASCAR racer. He is deemed a national hero for his approach to racing. He believes he has to win at all costs when he is racing. 32. Driven (2001)
Jimmy Bly is a talented and skilled rookie racer. But his performance deteriorates when his focus starts slipping. He eventually falls lower in the ranks. This has all been the result of the overwhelming pressure that his highly ambitious brother puts on him all the time.
On top of that, he starts a romance with Sophia, his arch-enemy’s girlfriend. Seeing his state, the car owner Carl Henry puts him together with Joe Tanto, a racing champion, so the former can have some help. Tanto must effectively help Bly, but he also has his past to face.
33. The Cannonball Run (1981)
The Cannonball Run puts together a star-studded cast to tell of real-life events. We see Burt Reynolds, Farrah Fawcett, Dom DeLuise, Sir Roger Moore, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr., along with several others (a small scene with Jackie Chan as well!) together in the movie.
The story is about a supreme auto race that runs across the country at unbelievable speeds. It is based on an actual race called the Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining Memorial Trophy Dash, a rebellious race where no rules work and no limits exist. It was started by Brock Yates to protest against the rule of 55 miles per hour in races.
34. Le Mans (1971)
The movie looks into the world of racing in the 70s when the high endurance auto race “Le mans” was prevalent back then. The race lasts for a whole day and goes on for 13.4 kilometers. Two drivers alternate in driving the car, but the race still requires great concentration.
35. Speedway (1968)
Steve Grayson is a Stock Car Driver. His life changes drastically when his poor tax paying and managing skills affect his career. His life as a competitive racer comes to an end as he becomes increasingly incapable of paying taxes.
36. Senna (2010)
Senna is another biographical movie about the legendary Brazilian motor racer Ayrton Senna and his tragic end. The movie spans the former ten years of Senna in the field of racing. It also depicts his rivalry with Alain Prost, a French racer.
The film is an honest look into the political infestation in this sport and how it ruins things. Senna effectively works to become a global phenomenon. His humbleness, shyness, and kindness are also perfectly portrayed on screen.
37. 1: The Movie (2013)
One is an excellent documentary that depicts the former years of Formula One racing. It is highly engaging and very informative about that era. The movie is basically based on the era of the Grand Prix. A whole generation of talented drivers gave everything to live on the Edge, competing in a dangerous game. Their bravery is commendable even today.
38. Gone in 60 Seconds (1974)
Randall “Memphis” Raines is in quite a pickle. His brother’s life is in danger, and to save him, he has been tasked with an impossible job. He has to steal as many as fifty exotic supercars before he runs out of time, which is just three days!
He is backed by his old gang, Otto, a mentor; Sphinx; Donny; and his ex-girlfriend Sway. They are young thieves well-versed in modern technology. From Lamborghinis to Porsches, from Fords to Ferraris, there is a lot to steal.
39. Breaking Away (1979)
Dave is a nineteen-year-old guy who has just graduated high school. Graduating with him are his friends. Cyril, the funny guy; Moocher, who is kind but can get angry sometimes; and Mike, who is athletic and good-natured.
Dave is a big bicycle racing enthusiast. He wishes to race against the Italians one day. He even starts acting Italian, even when his friends and family find it quite annoying. 40. The Love Bug (1968)
Jim Douglas is a racer who lives in an old house in San Fransisco. His roommate is his friend Tennesse who is a mechanic and drunk sometimes. When Jim visits a car dealer, he comes across a strange Volkswagen Beetle. The car could talk!
The car follows him home, but he thinks that the manager of the car dealership, Peter, is simply playing a silly prank on him. Jim eventually decides that he wants to try the car out. It turns out to be a good experience. Tennesse, and he nicknamed the car Herbie. As Jim gets used to the car and his performance increases due to it, Peter demands the car back. When Jim refuses, Peter decides to race against him as a rival.

41. Grand Prix (1966)
Grand Prix is the story of American racer Pete Aron. He loses his job as part of the Jordan BRM team when a crash in Monaco results in an injury to Scott Stoddard, a British teammate. While Stoddard is recovering from his injuries, a lot takes place.
Aron eventually ends up becoming the driver for the Japanese Yamura team. During this time, he also finds himself involved romantically with Mrs. Stoddard, who is Scott’s wife, that has been estranged for too long. With the scandalous love affair and new job coming about, he finds a strong contender in Jean Pierre Sarti, a French driver at the 1966 Formula One Championship.
42. Speed Racer (2008)
Speed Racer is a born racer. His talent and skills are unmatched. He aims to compete at The Crucible, a prestigious championship in which his older brother lost his life. His parents, Pops and Mom, run a family business.
Pops helps build Speed’s Mach 5 car, which he is going to use to compete. One of these days, Speed gets an offer from Royalton Industries, which he ends up turning down.
In no attempt to do so, Speed hurts Royalton’s pride and also learns about how big corporations use money and dishonesty to manipulate races. With Speed on Royalton’s radar and the backing of his family and girlfriend, Speed just gotta shine through it all.
43. Eat My Dust! (1976)
Hoover Niebold loves cars. So when he is to impress the hottest girl at his school, he knows what to do. He offers to give her a ride in a cool race car that is actually owned by Big Bubba Jones, a local racer in their area.
His father, Harry, is a Sheriff around the area. His son’s act enrages him a lot, and he sends several deputies to go after him as a result. Harry’s office is soon visited by several concerned parents, while the deputies cannot even get their hands on Hoover. What follows is an exciting car chase across the country, with Harry taking a little help from Jones.
44. Seabiscuit (2003)
In the times of the Depression, as hopes dissolved, dreams were the only solace that everyone had. Charles Howard is a car maker who is trying to build a life better than before after the passing of his only child and the separation from his wife.
Now he has married for a second time. He wishes to get into the sport of horse racing. His team is made of men with solid dreams of their own. We have Tom Smith, a trainer who knows horses better than anyone. He chooses Seabiscuit, a relatively shorter horse for Charles.
Seabiscuit is short, but Tom sees his potential. They are accompanied by Johnny “Red” Pollard, who may have a way with horses but is also a very angry young man. As the team defies traditional norms of horse racing with Seabiscuit, they pave their way to make a name for themselves.
45. Need for Speed (2014)
Tobey Marshall spends two years in jail when he is found guilty of a murder he never committed. His ex-partner had done this to him, and Marshall, who is but a financial deficit car builder and racer, has been left helpless.
Upon getting out of jail, Toby dons the fasted and most effective car ever produced in his workshop. He means to take part in DeLeon, a high-stakes racing tournament that will test his limits. The movie starts when Donald P. Sinclair takes six gold coins and puts them in the several slot machines of the casino he owns. The six lucky winners who get their hands on them will be faced with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
They can be the masters of $2 million hidden away in New Mexico in a locker. But to do so, they must participate in a daring race. Rules are no boundary here, and every mad happening possible in this case will end up happening. As these people work themselves up for the race, Sinclair and his buddies place their bets.

One of these days, a man named Cougar, also known as Warner Krugerman, who is a mad street racer, speeds past the police. In a heroic act, Foh overtakes the racer. Cougar gets in jail but manages to get out soon enough. As revenge, he kidnaps Foh’s siblings and also trashes his business in return. The only way for Foh to get back at Cougar is to race him in Japan. For this, he has to train hard in racing.
