Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Episode 13: Recap and Review
Before we can talk more about the upcoming events of the next episode, let us first review the last released episode. As it’s been a long time since the release of episode 13, it is mandatory to relook the events.
So in the last episode of part one, we see that a fight was going on between Ichigo and Nimaiya, and in this fight, we see that one of Nimaiya’s bodyguards a mere second retrieves our guys and put him along with countless Asauchi, one more time, so that he can fight until one of them chooses him.
However, things get interesting when we find out that all the Asauchi kneels in front of Ichigo because even after so many efforts he in the end only chooses the White Asauchi, this is nothing but the hollow “White” that resides inside him.
On the other hand, we see that at the Soul Society, all the captains and lieutenants, have started training. With this, Captain Hitsugaya has returned to the training grounds of the Soul Reaper, in order to sharpen his sword-wielding skills.
In addition to this, many of them like Hisagi also tries to awaken their Bankai, because we see that the captain of the 9th division, Kensei Muguruma, takes Hisagi, who by the way is his lieutenant, to one of his other unofficial lieutenant so that they can face each other and Hisagi will awaken his Bankai.

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is an action-packed anime series based on the popular manga by Tite Kubo. The story follows the journey of Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager with the unique ability to see ghosts, as he becomes a Soul Reaper and fights to protect the living world from malevolent spirits.
The final arc, known as The Thousand Year Blood War, brings the series to a thrilling conclusion as Ichigo and his allies confront a formidable enemy known as the Quincy. With intense battles and compelling characters, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is a must-see for fans of the series and action-adventure anime in general.
The final arc is expected to be 52 episodes in total, split into four cours of 13 episodes each. The first cour of the final arc is set to conclude next week with a one-hour special episode that combines episodes 12 and 13. This episode is expected to be a significant turning point in the series and will likely include information about the origin of the main character and the Kurosaki family.
Will There Be Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 2?
It was recently announced by the officials of Bleach that a Bluray containing a total of thirteen episodes is going to be released on April 26, 2023. Considering this, we can expect that Episode 14 of the ongoing arc of Bleach will be featured in Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 2.
While an official release date for this season has not yet been announced, fans can look forward to more action-packed adventures with Ichigo and the other characters as they continue to fight against the Quincy and protect the living world.
According to reports from September 30, 2022, the Canadian version of Disney+ listed “Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War: Season 1,” indicating that there will likely be a second season of the series. This news has been further confirmed by Oricon News, which stated that the Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War anime series will consist of four cours in total.
For those unfamiliar with the term “cour,” it is used in the anime industry to refer to a block of episodes in a series, typically consisting of around 13 episodes, that air within a three-month period. The use of a split cour schedule means that the series will have breaks in between the four cours, with the airing of each part taking place over a multi-month period.
This is different from a traditional cour schedule, where a series airs all of its episodes consecutively within a single three-month block. The use of a split cour schedule allows for breaks in the airing of the series and can be used to avoid conflicts with other programs or in order to give the animation team comparitivly more time for the next episodes. The use of a split cour schedule is becoming increasingly common in the anime industry and allows for more flexibility in the release of new episodes.
Considering the analysis of Anime Geek, the most expected time at which the production team of Bleach, will release the second cour of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, along with the next Episode 14, in the Spring or Summer Season of the year 2023. Although we have to wait for a little more longer for the exact date of release, depending on the schedule of production. More information about the release date and other details about the series will likely be announced in the future.
Even though the manga artist behind the story of Bleach, Tite Kube, attended the official event of Jump Festa 2023, which goes by the name Bleach Super Stage EX, on December 17, 2022, he did not mention anything with respect to the next season of the Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 2.
It is also already announced by the production company of Bleach, the final episode of Season 1 is going to be aired on December 26, 2023. Given this timing, it is not unusual that no announcement was made about the second season of the series at Jump Festa 2023, which took place on December 17, 2022.

It is common for announcements about new seasons or the continuation of a series to be made after the season finale has been released rather than before. This also applies to other series, such as Chainsaw Man, which has not yet had a second season announcement made.
Studio Pierrot, the anime studio, which is known for producing long-running anime from quite a long time, and who animated the most popular shows such as Naruto and Black Clover, will also be responsible for producing the second season of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War. The character designer for the series, Masashi Kudo, and the music composer, Shiro Sagisuo, will also be returning for the second season.
The major change for Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 2 we will witness is that the person who directed Season 1, Noriyuki Abe, will be replaced by Tomohisa Taguchi, who will not only be directing the next cour but also will write the composition for the upcoming plot. The opening and ending theme songs for the second season have not yet been announced. The first season featured the song “Scar” as the opening theme, performed by Tatsuya Kitani.
Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Episode 14 Release Date: Predictions
At this time, there is no official information available about the release date or title of the second season of the Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War anime series. Studio Pierrot, the production company responsible for the series, has not yet announced any details about the second season, nor have any of the other companies involved in the production and distribution of the series, including Aniplex, Shueisha, and VIZ Media.
It is not uncommon for companies to wait until the current season of a series has reached its conclusion before announcing information about a new season, and this may be the case with Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War.
It is currently not possible to accurately speculate when the second season of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, also known as Season 18, will be released. The release date for the season will depend on the production schedule for the series and how it is planned out. It is possible that there will be multiple split cours, or blocks of episodes, with breaks in between, in which case the second season could be released in the Spring 2023 anime season.
Alternatively, the first two cours could be broadcast back-to-back, with a multi-month break after Episode 26, in which case the second season could be released in the Summer of 2023 anime season. The release date for future seasons, including Season 3 and Season 4, will also depend on the production schedule and other factors.
Total Number of Episodes Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Will Have?
The use of filler content is common in anime adaptations of ongoing manga series, as it allows the production team to continue releasing new episodes while the source material is being developed. However, some fans may prefer to skip these filler episodes and focus on the main story arcs, which are based on the original manga.
Ten Episodes after Episode 128, Ten episodes after Episode 168, Thirty-Five episodes after Episode 230, and Thirty episodes after Episode 311 were all filler, meaning that they were not based on the story of the manga and were created specifically for the anime series.
The Thousand-Year Blood War arc is a significant portion of the manga, comprising 206 chapters over 20 tankoubon-format volumes, and it was originally thought that it would be adapted over a longer number of episodes.
However, it has been reported that the anime adaptation of the arc will consist of only 52 episodes, which is less than half of what was initially expected based on the pacing of the previous anime arcs. The episodes are also being released in cours, or blocks of episodes, with each cour adapting around five volumes of the manga. The pacing of the first season of the anime suggests that this rumor is accurate.
