The Blood of Dawnwalker is off to a strong commercial start, with the new dark fantasy RPG surpassing 1 million copies sold worldwide shortly after its September 2026 launch. Developer Rebel Wolves confirmed the milestone, marking a major early success for the studio’s debut game and its first original IP.

Beyond its overall sales milestone, Steam performance offers an interesting look at where the game is finding its audience. According to estimates from Alinea Analytics, The Blood of Dawnwalker has sold more than 410,000 copies on Steam, with Poland accounting for approximately 11% of its Steam players. That makes Poland the game’s second-largest market on the platform by player share.

The result is particularly notable for a Polish-developed RPG with strong connections to the country’s gaming industry.

Poland Emerges as a Major Market for The Blood of Dawnwalker

The Steam data highlights a strong domestic audience for The Blood of Dawnwalker. Alinea Analytics’ figures indicate that Poland trails only the game’s largest Steam market, making it one of the most important regions for Rebel Wolves’ debut.

The connection to Poland is unsurprising given the studio’s background. Rebel Wolves was founded by veterans of CD Projekt Red, including developers who previously worked on The Witcher 3, and that heritage is also reflected in the game’s audience.

Alinea estimates that approximately 58% of The Blood of Dawnwalker’s Steam players have also played The Witcher 3. The crossover makes The Witcher 3 the most prominent premium-game connection among Dawnwalker players, although the data does not establish that players purchased the new RPG specifically because of its former CD Projekt Red developers.

The RPG’s commercial momentum extends beyond its Polish audience. The Blood of Dawnwalker launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, while its Steam version reached more than 64,000 concurrent players shortly after release.

The game also arrives with a distinctive premise, placing players in control of Coen, a half-human, half-vampire protagonist steering a medieval world while working against a limited timeframe. Its combination of open-world exploration, player choice, vampire abilities, and the pedigree of its development team has helped distinguish it in a crowded RPG market.

With 1 million worldwide sales already confirmed and Steam estimates pointing to more than 410,000 copies, The Blood of Dawnwalker has established a strong opening for Rebel Wolves and its new franchise.
