Oliver Queen is the main character in The CW’s Arrow. With his adventures, Oliver captivated audiences with his transformation from a rich womanizer to Green Arrow as he fights to protect Starling City from all things evil. But aside from his heroic vigilante adventures, we have to examine just how complex is Oliver’s love life. His relationships and flings become a central theme in the show.
Oliver Queen’s romantic entanglements are a complement to all of his vigilante adventures. Starting with the rocky history he’s had with high school sweetheart Laurel Lance to his passionate relationship with the IT genius Felicity Smoak, Oliver’s love life deserves some unpacking. So, let’s uncover some of the plotlines of Arrow as we navigate through the intricacies of Oliver Queen’s relationships and, ultimately, reveal who he ends up with within the series.
What Happens To Oliver Queen In Arrow?
Stephen Amell gives life to Oliver Queen, a playboy with deep pockets that goes back to Starling City after everybody thought he’d bitten the dust a few years back. He got lost on a deserted island, learned how to survive commando style, hunting things with a bow and arrow, and comes back to Starling City as a vigilante named “Green Arrow”, who will protect the town by taking out the bad guys.
As the series progresses, Ollie faces lots of enemies and has a lot of fun navigating between his new identity and the fame he has as a womanizer. And the girls he meets all have the hots for him, including high-school sweetheart Laurel, who everyone thought would she’d end up with, only that he didn’t. That rocky relationship gave way to a romance with Sara Lance and, eventually, the hot nerd Felicity Smoak. And those three girls are just one side of the adventures that Green Arrow had as he faced enemies like Ra’s Al Ghul, Prometheus, and Deathstroke.
Who Does Oliver Queen Marry In Arrow?
Oliver Queen, after all those ups and downs with Laurel and Sara, ends up marrying Felicity (played by Emily Bett Rickards) in season six. Felicity checked all of Oliver’s boxes; she was cute, she’s smart, and works for Queen Consolidated. That’s until she moved from QC to Team Arrow full-time. The working relationship between Ollie and Felicity grew from some tension, then some friendship, and then it moved into a full passion.
Oliver and Felicity wed in the episode titled “Crisis on Earth-X”, in a ceremony that had The Flash, aka Barry Allen and Iris West, among the guests. The Queen-Smoak marriage became one of the key aspects of the series and their respective character stories.
Do Felicity and Oliver Queen End Up Together?
Yes! Felicity and Oliver end up together in the end. As mentioned earlier, these two tied the know in Season Six and faced several challenges in their marriage; despite those problems, they found that the love they have for one another was tougher than any other test. While Felicity saw in Oliver a strong, masculine, and guiding figure, Ollie saw in Felicity, an emotional partner who served as a guide, a moral compass, and a beautiful woman who would give birth to Mia, their daughter.
In the series finale, right after Ollie sacrifices everything during the “Crisis on Infinite Earth” events, Felicity leaves town with Mia, their daughter, for a remote location hoping for her safety. In the end, the Monitor moves Felicity to the afterlife, she meets up with Oliver, and they reunite in an alternate reality world called “Paradise”, signifying that not even death could split these two apart.

Who Does Laurel End Up With In Arrow?
While Felicity and Oliver end up together, another important plotline in Green Arrow’s love life worth exploring is what became of Laurel Lance, the longtime high school sweetheart with that rocky relationship with Ollie. As you know, Laurel and Ollie were best friends when they were kids, and then, their relationship goes into a rocky place when Ollie cheats on Laurel with her sister Sara, paving the way for a messy love triangle.
As the series unfolds, Laurel becomes the Black Canary following Sara’s path after her death. In light of their rocky past, Ollie and Laurel remain friends and respect each other. However, Laurel dies at the hands of Damien Darkh in season 4. And despite Arrow introducing us to an alternate reality Laurel from Earth-2 in the character of Black Siren, becomes redeemed and turns into Black Canary, but doesn’t win Oliver Queen’s heart as it is reserved for Felicity Smoak.
