Monster In Law
It is pretty clear that when a couple gets married, both of them, alongside their family, conjoins too. Watching Monster In Law makes the above-said line more concrete and ironic. The movie focuses on the lives of Dr. Kevin Field and Charlotte.
The two of them hits amazingly well. Looking at them, Kevin asks her to marry, to which she happily agrees and is now all excited about her new life. But she is unaware that things will change when she meets Viola, played by Jane Fonda, Kevin’s mother (mother-in-law).
Viola has just lost her news anchor job and is in a vulnerable spot. She is protective of her son, Kevin, and makes it very hard for Charlotte as she wants her to break off the marriage. You may feel sorry for the bride, but every scene they’re involved in is hilarious.
With any question, Jane is the one who moves the picture; it is a difficult role she plays, but she does it flawlessly. She gets the majority of the screen time but everyone else around her compliments her well in the scenes. It is a decent, funny movie that will surely make you giggle.

Just Like Heaven
If you want to watch a blend of comedy and romance with some spook all around, then Just Like Heaven will suit you fine; it’s an adorable love tale with a mixture of supernatural blends. The film features Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo.
Mark Ruffalo’s character David resides in San Francisco and movies into a new apartment. The apartment is not any ordinary place; it is haunted by Elizabeth, played by Reese Witherspoon.
Initially, David gets terrified and tries to get rid of her, but Elizabeth believes that she is not dead and is not willing to leave. Desperate, David tries to communicate with her by hiring a medium and does everything possible but with no success. Fool’s Gold
Ben is a workaholic; his occupation is treasure hunting. Due to his love for work, his marriage life with Tess is slowly falling apart. But he believes if he makes good money, then everything will be fine.
In the plot, Ben encounters the location of Queen’s Dowry, a legendary treasure. He quickly gathers his wife and her boss Nigel Honeycutt, a billionaire business guy, in his journey to find the treasure.
There’s also a competitor for Ben; Moe Fitch was a mentor to him but now is a rival. The rest of the screenplay revolves around the two groups going back and forth to obtain the treasure. Unlike most other romantic comedies, Fool’s Gold explores the idea of adventure and action; many scenes involve the characters getting into action in those tight situations.
You will feel as if comedy and romance are exclusive to each other. But certainly, you will cheer for Ben because of two reasons as the movie closes to an end, I am not going to spoil it for you.
Fool’s Gold is an ideal blend of action and romance, a refresher in the movie space, which is brain-dead. This movie should definitely be on your watch list if you are looking for an alternative to How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days.

27 Dresses
In the list of romantic movies, Anne Fletcher’s 27 Dresses fits right in with the category, it is funny, and the theme is romantic, but on the contrary, the movie asks tricky questions about the notion of putting others ahead before yourself.
Katherine Heigl plays Jane, a strange woman who likes weddings and is kind of addicted to them. Her urge to attend a wedding is constant, and she’s even ready to be the bridesmaid to random brides.
All her reality shatters when her own sister decides to get married, but Jane lives with the guy whom her sister is getting married to. Now what will Jane do, confess her true feelings or suppress them?

The Proposal
It is not a good idea to fake a wedding just to avoid deportation. I have not thought about it, and if anyone of you is planning to pull something crazy like this, then The Proposal will surely change your mind.
In the movie, Sandra Bullock is seen as Margaret, and Ryan Reynolds as Andrew, who is assistant of Margaret. Margaret is from Canada; she faces a problem with her visa and is facing deportation. This is where all the problem in the movie begins.
In order to get past deportation, she presses Andrew to marry her with a promise that if he marries her, then he will be given the designation of an editor. He dubiously agrees, and as both of them spend time with Andrew’s family in Alaska, a real romance begins between them; it also involves a bit of drama too.
Ryan and Sandra justified each of their characters through their performance. Sandra is manipulative and will surely make you irritate, as the story begins, and you will feel bad for Andrew.
Other than them, the supporting cast also added fun to the whole movie. The plot looks janky and a bit too stretched, but it will surely keep the audience entertained.

He’s Just Not That Into You
He’s Just Not That Into You, directed by Ken Kwapis, is a combination of several short stories. The plot of the movie is based on four men and five women as they explore the ups and downs of the daring world.
Some of the stories have a happy ending, and others do not so much. The movie has a star-studded cast with big names from Hollywood. It may be said as an anthology, but somehow, the life of each of the characters has been connected by a single line.
The movie was not praised by the critics, and as per them, there was not much screen time given to each story and character. Hence it was difficult to connect to the characters.
On the contrary, the movie has a good box office collection and was a hit among the audience. If you want to enjoy a romantic movie with several characters without picking any details, then He’s Just Not That Into You is for you.
