Tokyo Revengers was serialized in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shonen Magazine from March 2017 to November 2022, with chapters collected in 31 tankōbon volumes as of January 2023. An anime television series adaption made by Liden Productions was broadcast in Japan in July 2021, with a sequel in 2023. The second season premiered in January 2023.
The plot centers around the death of Hanagaki Takemichi’s only middle school girlfriend, Tachibana Hinata, as the title suggests. The Tokyo Manji Gang, a bunch of evil thugs, murdered her. His life is miserable, with flimsy walls, a six-year-old supervisor who treats him like an idiot, and he is the town’s last virgin.
A time-traveling Takingmichi suddenly finds himself back in middle school, as he is 12 years old again. To save Hinata, Takingmichi must become Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang leader and change his past. Let’s see when chapter 8 of Tokyo Revengers Season 2 is set to release, the time, the review of episode 7, and the streaming guide.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 7 Review
This episode begins when Taiju, overcome with emotion, intends to murder his sister. As he proclaims his love for his family while at the same time, he feels it would be best to end Yuzuha’s life, he isn’t right in the head. Taiju responds to Takemichi’s rebuke by declaring that she was the one who attempted to knife him in the first place, thus he should also beat her.
Takemichi tries to step in and gets pummelling as usual when he sees Hakkai scared of his brother. As a consequence, Mitsuya intervenes and momentarily rescues both Takemichi and Yuzuha. He then begins battling Taiju, but unlike Takemichi, he is not beaten and does not damage Taiju. Ultimately, Mitsuya releases Chifuyu and he joins the gang.

Even though Kisaki decided to betray them as he did, Chifuyu called Mitsuya without telling Takemichi. But that’s not all, Inui attacks Mitsuya from behind, and Kokonoi joins Taiju’s side, turning the fight completely against Takemichi and his friends. The primary brawl begins after all the main characters arrive on the scene. In the end, it became evident that Hakkai’s fear of Taiju is a secret, which prevents him from challenging his brother in a fair fight.
Moreover, we see Takemichi’s courage once again, reestablishing his only redeeming quality, which is never to give up when faced with danger. There is no ultimate conclusion to the fight between the Shiba siblings in this episode, so it feels a bit long. The writers have yet to answer some questions, so I find it a little frustrating to think we will have to wait another week to find out what the resolution will be.
