The Blood of Dawnwalker is already establishing a strong connection with The Witcher 3, and new player data shows just how much the two RPGs overlap. According to estimates from Alinea Analytics, approximately 58% of The Blood of Dawnwalker’s Steam players have previously played The Witcher 3, making it the game’s largest premium crossover audience.

The connection is hardly surprising considering Rebel Wolves was founded by former CD Projekt Red developers, including Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who served as game director on The Witcher 3. However, the scale of the crossover suggests that players familiar with the developers’ previous work are showing significant interest in their new dark fantasy RPG.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Has a Strong PC and Polish Audience

Alinea Analytics’ data also highlights the importance of Steam to The Blood of Dawnwalker’s launch. The analysis estimates that Steam accounts for roughly 40% of the game’s overall player base, with approximately 410,000 copies sold on Valve’s platform.

The United States represents the largest share of Dawnwalker’s Steam audience at 34%, while Poland ranks second with 11%. The Polish market is particularly notable given that both Rebel Wolves and CD Projekt Red are based in Poland, suggesting strong local interest in the country’s game-development scene.

The game also shares portions of its Steam audience with other recent action RPG releases. Around 13% of Dawnwalker players have played Mortal Shell 2, while approximately 9% have played Onimusha: Way of the Sword, according to Alinea’s estimates.

The player crossover comes as The Blood of Dawnwalker reaches a major commercial milestone. Rebel Wolves confirmed that the game passed one million copies sold within its first three days, establishing a strong early result for the studio’s debut original IP.
