The stage is set for the conclusion of The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 21. The long-running espionage series on NBC starring James Spader is about to conclude its season with a lot of adrenaline and a two-part season finale that —sort of— gives you the idea that the series is concluding forever.
But regardless of the tone the series is setting up, James Spader told Jimmy Fallon that there would be a tenth season. So the espionage series will continue after the break. The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 20 Recap
Mierce is shunning Red while Weecha is healing. Marvin walks in, introduces himself to Mierce, and takes a seat. Marvin shows Red a bank statement for the account in question, which was used for the killings of Lacroix and Reggie Cole; it is a numbered account. On that plane, Red still has many histories. Someone gained access to those accounts and utilized the funds to commit the killings. Red says they have to get on the plane right away.
Red consults with Dembe on Caelum Bank because they have worked with them. Dembe goes to the task force and informs them about the bank on Harris Gramercy’s jet. It functions similarly to a ghost plane. Nobody can hack their way inside. Red tells Dembe that he has to find out who had access to the account from Harris. Dembe claims that they cannot compel Harris to provide the information. Red claims that he will be more reasonable once he is on the ground. Red has a plan, but it is not widely accepted.
A Liability Ensues
Aram informs Park that he has received word from Main Justice that they have conducted her review and are withdrawing her field status owing to medical liabilities; he cannot allow her to work on this case. When Red meets with Harris, he expresses the need for a favor. He has access to every account on the plane. He wants to know who the last person who took money out of his account is. Aram pushes rank at an airport control tower and convinces them to ground Red’s plane. Ressler arrives with a crew and pretends he doesn’t know Red but recognizes him. He apprehends Red and Harris.

Red Jumps In
Cooper surprises Val on his way to prison; after murdering Michelle Lacroix, he was supposed to go to the house and burn it down. Red and Harris are in jail, and Red claims that he can get them out since the Governor owes him a favor. Red claims that he needs one name and can have him airborne in an hour.
Harris believes the entire arrest was a ruse. Red pulls out a revolver and shoots Harris after Harris orders him to hell. Harris relents and claims he keeps a log. Red hands him his phone, and he dials the number to find out who accessed the account. Hedwig Hawkins is her name. Red is taken aback and declares that it cannot be Heddie. Weecha follows Red as he walks away.
