The Palworld Official Card Game is preparing to expand its card pool with Legends Awaken, and Bushiroad has now revealed one of the set’s major new mechanics. The second booster pack will introduce Legendary Pals, giving some of the game’s strongest creatures a special status that affects how many copies players can have in play.

According to the Palworld Official Card Game, Legends Awaken is scheduled to launch on October 30, 2026, with 100 card types plus parallel cards. Bushiroad previously confirmed that the set would feature Legendary Pals in new illustrations.

Legendary Pals Add a New Restriction to Decks

The newly revealed Legendary trait is designed to prevent players from simply stacking multiple copies of the same powerful Pal. Legendary Pals can only have one Pal with the same name in a player’s Base, creating an additional restriction that could become important when building competitive decks.

Jetragon has been revealed as the first Legendary Pal for Legends Awaken. Its inclusion could also hint at a larger Legendary-focused strategy, although Bushiroad has not yet revealed the full lineup of Legendary Pals coming with the expansion.

The mechanic gives the upcoming set a potentially important distinction from the first Palworld Official Card Game expansion. Rather than simply adding more cards and abilities, Legends Awaken is introducing a rule that directly affects how players manage some of their strongest Pals.

Legends Awaken is the second booster set for the Palworld Official Card Game, following Dawn of Palpagos. The official product page lists 100 card types plus parallel variants, with Red, Blue, Green, Purple and Colorless cards represented in the expansion.

The card game’s official website also recently reported that the Palworld Official Card Game had surpassed 4.4 million pack sales worldwide, showing significant early interest in Bushiroad’s adaptation of the survival game’s world into a competitive TCG.

With Legends Awaken arriving October 30, more Legendary Pals and their abilities are expected to be revealed before launch. The new mechanic could ultimately become one of the expansion’s defining features, particularly if multiple Legendary Pals receive abilities that encourage players to build around them.
