Kouta is a second-year junior college student who has always had bad luck and misfortune on his side. Due to having a natural affinity for attracting bad deeds to himself and his surroundings, he has accepted consistent misfortune as his fate. So, in order to avoid hurting the people around him, he avoids getting close to people and acts just like society expects him to.
For the whole world, Kouta is a sweet guy with the sweetest voice who likes strawberries, hates eggplants and bugs, and whose ideal type is someone who can make his heart beat fast. But in reality, he has a deeper voice, likes gyoza and beer, and hates crying children. He wants to make a fortune without doing anything, and his ideal type is good-looking people.
Meanwhile, Shinomiya Naoya is unnaturally lucky in everything he does, from lotteries to vending machines. He has all the girls in his college whipped for him and is a good-natured person whose friends and teachers adore when. When Kouta discovers that being around Naoya somehow negates his own bad luck, he expresses wanting to get closer to him. Naoya misunderstands this and thinks Kouta wants Naoya to be his boyfriend and unhesitantly gets into the agreement, which he seals with a kiss! And that’s the start of the adventure between the pair of perpetually lucky and unlucky guys!

The couple goes out for a fun day of dating. Hopping from a movie theatre (where Naoya can’t help being gleeful looking at Kouta getting scared), then to a manga bookstore, karaoke bar, and finally end in a restaurant (where Kouta orders a strawberry dessert, and the strawberries don’t turn out to be sour!) They finally end their day going to a dolphin show that Naoya had booked for them.
