Coming to Sally now, she is getting ready for a press junket to talk about her upcoming show. Sally ends up overthinking about the interview, where she might have to answer a number of personal questions which may determine how she will look in the spotlight and how her show may perform. But the interviewers ended up asking her basic questions like who should be the next spider-man.
Meanwhile, Barry and Cousineau connect with each other right before their shoot. The talk takes them back to Barry’s monologue. Cousineau comes to realize that putting Barry and Janice in one room is what led to her death. Fuches reconnects with Barry to apologize and expects a similar one from him. When Barry declines to do it, this leads to a shouting war.
During the shoot of the Barry and Cousineau scene, Barry plays it cool with his role, but it somewhere parallels the situation between him and Cousineau. Soon Cousineau loses it and slaps Barry asking him to stay away from his family before walking out.
Amidst all of this, much like Hank, even Cristobal tries to convince Fernando that they should go back as they couldn’t find anything on Chechens. Fernando couldn’t help but agree. Meanwhile, Katie, on her side, when questioned about Sally’s healthy relationship, finds herself confused. She feels like she is lying about all of this after watching Barry scream at Sally in the last episode.
Barry Season 3 Episode 3 Review
Barry Season 3 Episode 3 works its storylines by drawing parallels within them. For starters, the working relationship between Barry and Cousineau kind of aligns itself with the working relationship between Katie and Sally. Barry makes Cousineau do things. Much like that, Katie is helpless as she has to lie her way out if she wants to survive in this industry.
Similarly, we felt the same when it comes to the conversation between Barry and Fuches. We felt like Barry was more or less acting like Fuches when it came to working with Cousineau.
Amidst all of this, Cousineau, as in Henry Wrinkler’s performance, is something worth looking at. The way he was so clueless with the gig and had to take orders for Barry was brilliant acting. We can feel how much he hates Barry receiving the praise after what he did to Janice, and it all comes out during their acting scene.
Apart from all of this, we also kind of saw how coming close to their dreams has changed some of the people. For example, Sally was a completely different person when she started out. But now, as she is becoming popular, she needs to take care of a few things.
Sally can’t let the world know how her relationship with Barry is not great as it may seem because it may affect the show, which is aimed at abusive relationships. This also brought pressure on her co-star Katie who clearly states that she feels uncomfortable around Barry.
