Pokemon has been an interesting anime over the years to a point where some of the fans delve down into the Pokemon’s stats and their different kinds. So when looking into Cat Pokemon characters, there is quite a number of them that you will find interesting. So to closely look at this, we will have to look at what Pokemon are based on Cats.
We will also look at the Cat Pokemon, which seems to have a mixture of other living things’ attributes. But most dominantly appears like a cat of a breed of cat lineage. While we all know Meowth from Team Rocket is a popular shout when it comes to Cat Pokemon, there are many Cat Pokemon, including him, that will have cat lovers fall for them.
Glameow
Glameow appears as a gray and feline Pokemon with a slender physique. It has a crescent-shaped head with white-tipped ears and a white muzzle with a small black nose. Pink eyelids with yellow eyes and blue irises together with two rows of thin whiskers. It has a ruff-like fringe on its neck, and its legs have similar fringes as well. On its feet are white tips with pink paw pads on the underside. It also has a curled spring-shaped tail with a white fluff at the end tip of it.
Umbreon
Umbreon was introduced in Generation II, and it evolves from Eevee when it levels up with highs friendship during the night or with a Moon Shard in the bag, as we saw in Pokemon XD. It is one of Eevee’s final forms, including Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon, Leafeon, and more. It was also one of the starter Pokemon alongside the other Generation II Eeveelution Espeon.
Umbreon has a slick black body with only four thin legs and crimson eyes. It has two pairs of pointed teeth in the upper and the lower jay, which are visible when it opens its mouth. It also has long pointed ears and a bushy tail with a yellow band around them. ON its forehead and legs are yellow rings, and its evolution is the result of Eevee being exposed to the light of the moon.
Meowth
Meowth appears as a small feline Pokemon and has a cream-colored fur that turns brown on the tips of its hind paws and tail. It also has an ovoid head that features four prominent whiskers and wide eyes with slipped pupils and two pointed teeth in the upper jaw. It has a gold Koban coin embedded in its forehead, and its ears are black with brown interiors and are flanked by another pair of long whiskers.
Meowth is a quadruped feline and has the ability to walk on its hind legs, and in most games, it is depicted with two legs. In the anime, Meowth would normally walk on all fours, and it can freely manipulate its claws and retracts them when the need arises.

Espeon
Another one of the quadrupedal and mammalian Pokemon with a cat-like appearance. It has slender legs with dainty paws, and it is covered in fine lilac fur. Its ears are large, and it has purple eyes with white pupils. It has tufts of fur near its eyes and a small red gem that is embedded in its forehead. It also has a thin and forked tail, and its velvety fur is so sensitive that it can even sense minuscule shifts in the air, allowing it to predict the weather and the movements of its enemies.
Purugly
As we proceed with our cat pokemon characters, Purugly is a round and gray feline with a dominantly white appearance and a crescent-shaped head. It has pointed ears and is tipped purple with zigzag whiskers at its ends. Its frilly portion of its spiraling tail is forked, but it is usually kept clasped around its waist, making it appear less fat. Even though it has a sluggish appearance, Purugly will never be reluctant to attack when it is angered, and it can be quite fast and always attempts to make itself look larger and more intimidating when it cinches its waist with its forked tail.
It would usually barge into the nests of other Pokemons and frightens them off so that it can claim the nest as its own. It uses its eyes to glare ceaselessly at its victims, and it can also be found in both urban and heavily wooded forest areas. Purugly is well popular despite its disrespectful and scary nature, and this is thanks to its beautiful fur being more comfortable than even that of velveteen.
Delcatty
Delcaty’s body is mostly tan and has a pointed whisker-like protrusion on each cheek. It has purple ears with three tufts of fur at its tips with a purple fuff like collar, and pin-like extensions around its neck. It has slim legs with timely digit-less paws, and it possesses a purple flower-like tuft of hair on the end of its thin tail.
Delcatty keeps a happy mood most of the time, and it rarely gets involved in conflicts. When it is disturbed, it just moves to another area instead of fighting, and it prefers to do as it pleases at its own pace with a random daily routine. It is popular amongst female trainers, and it is used in competitions for its style and sublime fur. It is nocturnal and active at dusk and is the result of evolution via Evolution stone. As a Pokemon, Delcatty is rarely found in the wild, even though it can be found in tropical and temperate forests. Instead of building a permanent nest, it finds comfortable sleeping spots.
Persian
Persian has a pale tan fur with the exception of its black and rimmed ears. It has a short muzzle and a small black nose, red eyes with slit pupils just like the rest of the feline Pokemons, and rounded ears. More of Persian’s attributes include rounded ears with a pair of pointed teeth in its upper jaw. Its three whiskers on either side of its face set it apart from most feline Pokemons and are very sensitive to changes in the air movement. This makes it easier for it to detect its prey based on movement only.
On the center of Persian’s forehead is a red jewel, and its long tail has a distinctive curl at the end. Persian can communicate with its body language and hold its tail upright to signal the intention to pounce. Its long legs with three-toed paws have retractable claws, and its little muscles enable it to walk without making any sound.
Skitty
Next on the list, we have Skitty, which has a stumpy body and four short legs. It is cream-colored on its face with a crescent-shaped marking. Its slit-like eyes and tufted ears have purple interiors, and its slender tail has a bulky pink section at the end separated by three pin-like structures with yellow ball-like tips. While in battle, it would puff its tail out and threaten opponents with a sharp growl.
Liepard
Liepard has a slender and purple build speckled with yellow rosettes. Its fur pattern is considered attractive to many trainers, and it has a pink mask marking over its eyes with a pink nose and a small yellow markings on top of its green eyes. Its two pairs of long yellow whiskers and a tufted yellow underside are one of its characteristics that most trainers find interesting. Its lower legs are also yellow, and each small paw has a pale pink pad, as we have seen in Pokedex 3D pro. It also has a long curving tail with a sickle-like shape towards its tip.
Mienfoo
Mienfoo is a bit different from the rest of the Pokemon that this list is based on. Being bipedal with a mustelid-like appearance, it has round ears, red eyes with a pink nose, and a whisker on each side. Its red arms are similar to flared sleeves, and the paws are yellow. Its chest has a small red band, and its pelt piles around its things which resembles a tunic or a robe. On its legs is red color, and its yellow tail is also tipped red.
Mienfoo specializes in flowing, speedy and continuous attacks becoming more precise as it concentrates. Even though it’s not very powerful, it makes up for this by the number of hits it blows with its sharp claws that cut foes apart.
