07. Kuroko’s Basketball
This Anime is Ahiru no Sora but with superpowers and good animation. Of course, a superpower doesn’t exist in real life, but you definitely will like this show. Kuroko’s Basketball follows a typical trope of a shounen anime. The main character is overpowered with nothing touching him and him achieving his goals easily. The teams this show presents us have an overpowered character of their own, popularly known as ” The Generation of Miracles”.
The main highlight of this show is its animation and cool superpowered presentation of normal tricks used in Basketball. If it weren’t for animation, it might not be as popular as it is now. If you like all the stuff said above, you could check this out after Futsal Boys.
06. Ping Pong The Animation
Taiyō Matsumoto’s manga/anime series, Ping Pong The Animation, is a work of art. It shatters the “Art” Branch of Cinema through its storytelling. Anything said about this series will be praised only.

02. Slam Dunk
Another Basketball anime in this list, and only if Haikyuu hadn’t concluded itself with an emotional Epilogue, Slam Dunk would be sitting there at the top of the Sports Genre without any hesitation. Written and Illustrated by Takehiko Inoue, Slam Dunk, is an extravagant packet of sports anime. Most of the Anime which has so-called similar tropes pick their famous arc twists from here.

He is then introduced to the Shohoku basketball team by Haruko Akagi, who recognizes Hanamichi’s athleticism. 01. Haikyuu!!
The Hairuichi Furudate’s Masterpiece Haikyuu!! is undeniably the best sports anime out there. The Heart and soul of this lie in its characters. The presentation of characters in Hiakyuu is a level up from others in this list. From Character Introduction to Anticipation. From its Development to its Payoff. Haikyuu does this in the manner that even though you are mature about volleyball, you will start watching real ones after this.
Hinata Shoyo, one of the protagonists of the series, witnesses a player ruling the volleyball court despite his small stature. Being motivated by this so much that he starts playing the game with the dream of playing on the national stage. In his very first official match, which he got to play in his last year of junior high, he got crushed by the king of the court, Tobio Kageyama, and his team. Hinata then challenges Kageyama that he will defeat him someday only to find out that he is to be a teammate with him in his High School.
The story then follows only on with a different variety of characters and their redemption. And one of the major things which separate this show from the shounen tropes is that Losing is Ok. Rivalry is what matters.
