BBC’s newest thrilling game show, Traitors, will soon be airing a new episode this week. Inspired by the Dutch show, this series will be following the same format as De Verraders, with a group of 20-25 contestants grouping up along with a few traitors, who will keep their identities hidden. While they stay at the lovely castle in Scottish Highlands, the traitors will be coming after them each night.
Those who remain till the end of the game without being killed by a traitor will get a chance to win up to £120,000, but this hefty cash prize will be taken by a traitor if they manage to remain until the game ends. The contestants would have to pick out the traitors to avoid elimination by getting killed by the traitors who attack secretly at night.
The Traitors has been very popular in Australia as well and was adopted by BBC for a UK version that was first aired on November 29th, 2022. Although it’s too soon to say it, judging by the first few episodes, The Traitors seems to be an entertaining competition show.
What’s more, is the drama that is added to the show as each faithful person tries to figure out who the traitors could be. The show is hosted by the well-known TV presenter Claudia Winkleman.
Traitors: The Contestants
The format of this game show will be quite similar to its other counterparts and will be filmed in the Scottish Highlands, a perfect place to create more charm during the stay. For the first season, the show has around 22 contestants lined up. They include:
- Hannah, a comedian from London
- Alyssa, a business student currently residing in Edinburgh
- Andrea, the oldest on the show, from Belgium
- Aisha, Master’s Graduate from Manchester
- Aaron, property agent from Portsmouth.
- Amanda, an estate agent from Swansea
- Maddy, a receptionist from Kent
- Nicky, supervisor from South Croydon
- Amos, a doctor from North London
- Claire, a former police officer from Hull
- Fay, School Welfare head from Suffolk
- Tom, the magician from Buckinghamshire
- Wilfred, a fundraiser from North London
- Imran, a scientist from Cambridge
- Alex, presenter from London
- John, spa therapist from Edinburgh
- Ivan, an author from Cornwall
- Theo, Coach from Leeds
- Meryl, call center agent from Edinburgh
- Kieran, a consultant from Hertfordshire
- Matt, Athlete from Hertfordshire
- Rayan, Trainee lawyer from North London
All these 22 contestants had the shock of their lives when they were told to align themselves to their confidence in winning. Everyone competes to stand at the winning corner, while some, just wanting to stay out of attention, stand at the last. This proves to be fatal as those on the lower confidence side are eliminated right then and there.
Traitors UK Episode 3: Release Date
Traitors UK Episode 3 will be released on December 1st, 2022. New episodes of Traitor will be released on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with each episode having a run-time of almost 58-60 minutes.
Traitors UK Episode 3: What To Expect?
In the upcoming episode of traitors, we will be seeing another kill taking place at night, showing that the traitors were still active and doing their best to intimidate the faithful.
Traitors UK Episode 2: Recap
We’ve seen just how intense the show is, as in the first episode few contestants are eliminated through a simple question. Now the remaining contestants would participate in all sorts of activities to build up the cash prize. These games insinuate a sense of bonding and friendship in the players, but when they wake up the next day and find that the traitors have eliminated someone, the lack of trust in even the closest friends starts to develop.
The traitors make their move at night after deciding between each other. In the 2nd episode, we see the first kill by the traitors coming into action. This creates unrest within the players that are faithful. They must make the kill as secretly as possible, or they might just end up risking their identity and in turn, the cash prize at the end. The contestants then gather at the round table to banish who they think would be the traitor.
