Get ready to head back to Las Vegas with an all-new episode of Pawn Stars that’ll be released this week. The show has just returned this year with its original cast consisting of Rick, Old man, and Corey, and the deals just seem to get better with each season.
First seen on television on July 19th, 2009, Pawn Stars can only be defined as the most entertaining as well as intriguing show History has ever had. Although many other similar interesting shows exist on the platform, this particular series was found to be the most-watched show and is available in almost 150 countries.
The series was made when Leftfield pictures were looking for a suitable pawn shop to document and ended up coming across Gold & Silver Pawn Shop owned by the Harrison family which had already been the subject of another documentary back in 2003. This pawn shop is known to be the right place for selling or buying all kinds of vintage objects since it has a collection of more than 12,000 items.
Earlier seasons of Pawn Stars were mainly hosted by Richard Kevin Harrison (Rick) and Richard Benjamin Harrison (The Old Man), but throughout the seasons, the main host has shifted from Rick to his children, Corey and Austin (Chumlee). Celebrities such as Steve Carrel, Bob Dylan, and Kip Winger have had appearances on Pawn Stars.
The show has also received awards such as The Pawnbroker Year Award, due to its work in increasing the popularity of an otherwise lesser-seen business. Spin-offs like American Restoration, and Counting Cars as well as UK and Australian adaptations of Pawn Stars have also been produced. The latest season of Pawn Stars has been airing since March 15th, 2023.
Pawn Stars 2023 Episode 2: Recap
In the previous episodes, we see Rick coming across a pair of old posters that could sell for huge prices. With hopes of selling it or at least putting it up for the show in his shop, Rick does his best to get his hands on the vintage posters. Battle Cat Toys used to be a popular toy back in the 80s, but in recent times, they aren’t as popular with kids. When a person claiming to have an original Battle Cat Toy arrives at Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, Rick calls Grayskull to help him analyze the toy.
Asides from the skepticism that surrounds the toy, Rick and Chum also deal with a tricky price situation which causes them to bring out their negotiation skills to secure the best deal possible. While Corey is on duty, he comes across a person trying to sell a special megaphone. Another deal we see in this episode is Chum coming across a deal that involves a photograph with a history behind it.
By the second episode, Rick finds himself facing a great deal when a person brings over a musket rifle from the 19th century. This deal is followed by another deal where a seller arrives carrying a signed copy from a popular celebrity. Corey and Rick have a hard time deciding the price on an interesting deal that consists of a dummy that was used by one of the greatest ventriloquists. As for Chum, he is back in the poster business and comes across a poster of the movie Sandlot.
