Here’s some context. The Earth, specifically a region in the desert, is under attack by aliens. Several “cracks” appeared like the sky was made of glass and no one knows what is going to come through it. Several leaders and scientists were called to the scene to figure out this strange phenomenon but no one had a clue what was going on as they have never seen anything like it.
But our overpowered protagonist, Jin Woo, knew exactly what was happening. He realized it was an alien invasion kind of situation and that the aliens are looking for him because they could sense his unbelievable power. To put a stop to the invasion, Jin Woo goes to the location in the desert just as strange objects started falling into Earth from the cracks.
This is where chapter 184 ends and we will give a short recap of chapter 185 because chapter 186 has not been released yet. Then we will go on to reveal the release date of the much-awaited chapter 187. But before all that, here is a short synopsis of the story.
Ever since the “Gate” appeared, the Earth has been plagued by terrifying monsters. To fight against these vile creatures, humans began being blessed with various levels of superpowers and such humans came to be called Hunters. Jin Woo was the weakest Hunter of them all, him being an E rank.
But one day, when he woke up in a hospital bed after a failed mission, he saw a screen in front of him that told him to undergo a harsh and tough training program. Jin Woo accepted the mysterious challenge and it turned out to be the best decision he ever made as all the hardwork and perseverance ended up making him the strongest Hunter of them all.

Solo Leveling Chapter 185 Recap
A face off happens between Taewoong and Jin Woo even before the competition starts. Taewoong feels a strange impulse to kneel in front of Jin Woo but she yells that there is now way he could be afraid of someone as weak looking as him.
The two of them go to a secluded place and Jin Woo exerts his power on Taewoong discretely. Taewoong uncontrollably spills tears and he gives in to his impulse to kneel in front of Jin Woo. Jin Woo decides that since Taewoong is living as human right now, there was no need for the two of them to get involved with each other.
Suddenly, Taewoong experiences a strange feeling and asks himself if he was experiencing love which completely baffled Jin Woo. But he set him straight soon after that with just a couple of snaps of his fingers. Elsewhere, a person named Dave goes to the house of an old lady to ask about Jin Woo.
He had seen Jin Woo single-handedly fight the aliens and feels that he is a threat. The old lady, who seemed to be psychic tells Dave to hold his questions as she claims to no longer see things like she used to. However, the lady says she knows what Dave is going to ask her and that she knows the identity of the person Dave is asking about.
But she also says that she wont disclose anything about that particular person. This enraged Dave and he asked her why she took that decision. She said that it wasn’t the first time the person in question had saved mankind and that he had done it before. This surprised Dave and he asked for her confirmation on whether she was sure about Jun Woo not being a dangerous person.
The old lady gives him her word that Jin Woo was not dangerous. So Dave agrees to forget about the fact that the lady knew about Jin Woo. Thomas who was hiding away asked her why she saved him and to that she replied that he had done a lot of good in his previous life. Far away, Jinwoo meets a strange girl.
