In a world where mangas and manhwas are more popular than ever, I also am certain that this popularity is not merely restricted to shoujo and shounen. We go beyond the two major categories of anime and bring you a list of the Best Yaoi Anime Of All Time, Ranked by Fans.
Yaoi manga and anime have both been fairly popular even back in the 70s, but they picked up commercial popularity during the 90s. Even though Yaoi and boy love are usually categorized as two different categories, the two usually coincide. With storylines revolving around love, romance, and intense moments, people usually prefer to use the term ‘yaoi’ over the latter simply because of the slightly more rated tone of it.
Best Yaoi Anime In 2023:
This list of Yaoi anime is a well-curated list of Yaoi anime that is loved and ranked by fans of the same genre. Ranging from mafia and high school stories to supernatural and bakery-themed anime, Yaoi has it all. We hope that this list suits your liking.

He then finds out that the stranger is a friend of his elder brother, who is a famous novelist Akihiko Usami. Moving on to becoming acquaintances, Akihiko ends up being Misaki’s private tutor, and he begins to question Akihiko’s relationship with his brother after stumbling upon his latest boy’s love novel.
In another setting, Akihiko’s friend, who teaches classical literature at University – Hiroki Kamijou, is mourning over a failed romance. He meets a student, Nowaki Kusama, on the verge of having a meltdown – who needs Hiroki’s help for an upcoming exam. Despite turning down Nowaki’s request multiple times, Hiroki does help him out. The two eventually start getting closer, along with Nowaki’s secrets being revealed.
Along with the two stories, upon finding out that his older sister has divorced Hiroki’s co-worker You Miyagi, the rich teen Shinobu Takatsuki wants to date the said man. However, You do not feel the same and try to scare him off – and then realize that Shinobu would do anything to love him.

This anime is true to its name – apart from having a character with a chronic illness, the hot, smutty scenes are bound to make the viewers hyperventilate as well.

Myeongyi is treated almost like an outcast among his peers – and he feels like one too. However, his class president, Han Seonho, is the only person who offers empathy and a feeling of understanding and kindness. These gestures, along with Seonho’s good looks – become Myeongyi’s first-ever crush.
Years later, when they meet at a high school reunion, Myeongyi holds a sliver of hope to see Seonho – and, if possible, bring up his older feelings to him. However, the hope crushes when he sees a golden band on Seonho’s ring finger. After confrontations and some important talks, it turns out that he is, in fact, not married, and the ring was just for looks. Beginning from here, their love story blossoms.
