Kanojo Okarishimasu Chapter 254 is set to release this. The Japanese manga series Rent-A-Girlfriend is written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. The series has been published in North America by Kodansha USA, which released the first volume in English in June 2020. Kanojo Okarishimasu Manga’s plot revolved around Kazuya Kinoshita, a college student recently dumped by his girlfriend, trying to fill the void in his heart by renting a girlfriend from a mobile app.
At first, Chizuru Mizuhara seemed to be the perfect girl, with gorgeous looks and a sweet, caring personality that could not be beaten. Kazuya believes that Chizuru is just playing with men’s hearts after their first date, and as he’s still tormented by his previous relationship, he leaves her a negative rating after seeing mixed opinions on her profile.
Chizuru reveals her true nature when she is angry at her client’s disrespect toward her: sassy and temperamental, opposite to Kazuya’s first impression. At the same moment, Kazuya receives news of his grandmother’s collapse and has to take Chizuru to the hospital with him. However, Kazuya’s grandmother is happy that he has finally found a serious girlfriend, which is what she has wanted. Unfortunately, Kazuya and Chizuru must pretend to love each other, even though it turns out that the relationship is not anything serious.
Kanojo Okarishimasu Chapter 253 Review
As a consequence, the chapter was first unsettling. It’s funny because we had a similar problem with the introduction in the last chapter. Reiji builds up the battle when Kazuya is poised to burst by having him keep silent and hide behind his mug. Then he pedals backward. If you’ve been following this narrative for a while, you might be disappointed by this chapter. It’s as if we don’t want to make progress.
There’s that lingering act of Kazuya chickening out throughout the chapter, and it fucking lingers because then Chizuru starts doing it as well, making you want to beat your head against the wall because they’re being foolish and backpedaling on everything even if they don’t intend it. Chizuru continues to speak.
The conversation between Chizuru and Mini at the end of this chapter is its best section. In contrast to her earlier statements in the previous chapter, Chizuru demonstrates her interest by posing the question to Mini. Her opinion was only reinforced as Chizuru explained that she regretted asking him to wait despite being aware of his feelings.
By the end of the story, Mini seems a little more optimistic. She looked at the now instead of looking at the pattern before. In her view, it makes sense that she comes out of it with a much more positive outlook as compared to before when she saw Chizuru trying to start something, then Kazuya back peddling out of it in fear.
It seems this was the purpose of the kiss at the end. Chizuru did want to kiss Kazuya and stay with him, but the conversation took her away from him. It is a strange situation where the concept of the chapter is clever, yet it will still annoy readers.
As far as facts go, it’s right. Kazuya cannot say anything when he’s out, so he doesn’t consent. Chizuru did. The whole plot revolves around Kazuya’s agency, and here it gets taken away weirdly. And I’ll be honest, I’m not sure what to say. In her desperate attempt to open up, Chizuru is making dumb choices, but that’s kinda what it is all about. In this series, empathy plays a big role.
I said that Kazuya’s feelings are crucial in this situation because it was obvious in the previous chapter that Chizuru was trying to change, but she was a dumbass (funny since she calls Kazuya a bonehead here). Kazuya couldn’t accomplish it as a result of the roles being reversed. She didn’t share her feelings with him, and society is a jerk. Kazuya keeps bringing it up in these chapters as well. There’s no doubt that Reiji realizes what he’s doing is wrong and not the best course of action, but that’s precisely the point. This is why communication is so important in relationships and why these characters are so compelling.
There is something about the Ruka kiss chapter that makes it work the opposite way. Manga’s portrayal of Kazuya is so raw that it makes you uncomfortable. He’s frozen, he doesn’t move, and he’s stunned while Ruka continues to kiss him. She disregards his feelings completely and goes to town. The story is about her insecurity about being inferior and her failure to comprehend the consequences of her actions. As Kazuya reacts and faces, Reiji emphasizes the fact that it’s wrong.
Nevertheless, Ruka isn’t blamed later for the incident. Instead, it turns into a cute moment even tho it isn’t. This is because Kazuya realizes that she’s not a bad person, just a child who doesn’t understand. He is, after all, the adult. Hence, he blames himself not only for not seeing his worth but also for not paying attention to these things.
This has another interesting layer to it. Kazuya looks traumatized after the kiss and has to deal with a lot of things all at the same time. In the next chapter, I believe Kazuya will open his eyes briefly and see a dark/blurry Chizuru embracing him, as well as another where she has already kissed him. Then he’ll think it was all a “dream.” I’m just curious what Chizuru thinks about what he just witnessed.
