Not able to take it any longer, he even leaves school and takes to roaming the streets at night since he can’t get even a wink of sleep. One night, during his moonlight parole of the streets, Kou comes across a young girl who looked like she was his age. She confided in him that her name was Nazuna Nanakusa and quickly befriends him.

The strange girl invites him to her house saying that people who can’t sleep at night spend their mornings the wrong way and that she can fix his sleeplessness for him. Kou accepts the invitation and goes to Nazuna’s house where she asked him to share the futon with her.

Little did he know that he was just invited to sleep with a vampire! She bites his neck and Kou, instead of getting alarmed, gets rather excited hoping that now he might turn into a vampire too. But Nazuna tells him that to turn into a vampire, he must be bitten by one who he is in love with.

The chapter starts with Nazuna having a deep conversation with Seki Mahiru about love. She asks him what it’s like to fall in love with someone. She asks about him and his story with Kiku. he begins telling his story. Mahiru works at his father’s flower shop and he helps him by delivering flowers to various households.

Mahiru didn’t care what happened to the flower shop. He was just out delivering as he can’t stand being at home. He loved the night and one day he was out delivering flowers and he stopped at a house. He rang the bell and when it opened, he was awestruck at seeing a beautiful woman in front of him.

Without thinking, he offers her a flower. She takes it, thanks him, and asks him what kind of flower it was and whether it held any meaning. Being too embarrassed to say it, he tells her that he had forgotten the meaning. He ends up having a million questions about her but soon enough he found out that she was a vampire.

But knowing this made him fall for her even harder and he was ready to turn into a vampire too. He was still happy to just spend time with her though. But one day, Kiku asked Mahiru something very strange. They were having a conversation on the sofa when Kiku told him that she did not know how long vampires went without drinking blood.

She told him that she thinks she might be dying and told him that she wanted to fulfill her dream. Her dream was to be killed by Mahiru’s hand and that’s what she asked of him.
