Last week’s episode of Kung Fu set the standard for a spectacular finish, and Kung Fu Season 2 Episode 13 delivers on that promise with an action-packed finish that doesn’t forget about the show’s characters, motifs, or growing mythology. Despite the upcoming third season and a continuance of a story that wound up far better than it was imagined, it has the sense of feeling like an ending. Episode 13 was a pretty good one, but the question is, will there be Kung Fu Season 2 Episode 14? Or has Season 2 ended?
Season 2 of Kung Fu centered around the mythology of eight ancient weapons that, when combined, held a mystical power capable of changing the world’s power balance. Back home in China, where she first discovered the legend & trained in martial arts, Nicky Shen had discovered that her family is far more linked to the weapons than she previously believed, and she gets ready for a final clash with Zhilan over the weapons’ mysterious potential arising from their magical blacksmith.
Episode 13 Recap
Before diving into Kung Fu Season 2 Episode 14, let’s quickly do a recap of the previous Episode. In Episode 13, Nicky has Althea take a vacation from her engagement to Dennis to hack into geolocation satellites and try to discover a local area where the energy may be kept, recalling ancient mythology that Pei-Ling informed her connected the mystical weapons. Nicky uses the chance to send a secret signal to her siblings about the upcoming danger to the family, which Althea picks up on and has Evan Hartley call in the cops to catch Zhilan’s shooters. Zhilan is once again at the mercy of Nicky and the priests, but the standoff is broken when Russell Tan appears at the monastery to avenge his son’s supposed murder.
Russell and his men steal the weapons in the midst of the chaos, with Zhilan & Nicky chasing them as they journey to the source of the forge’s energy. Russell slaughters the guardian of the forge’s energy because she refuses to transfer the energy to the mythical weapons, just as Nicky & Zhilan show up at the site, their own link to the weapons’ legacy resulting in magical feedback that makes both women unconscious and forces them to face dreams of the ones they love in a surreal world. Pei-Ling then appears to guide Zhilan & Nicky back to the forge to decide the fate of the weapons’ energy.
Both ladies reawaken the location of the stored energy and decide to fight for control of the historic powers they are about to inherit. After Zhilan injures Henry, Nicky resolves to use her remaining energy to turn the tables on Zhilan, gaining the upper hand now that the world’s power has been released. Zhilan, defeated, requests that Nicky kill her with the mythological sword, but she is spared and brought into custody by Chinese authorities, who then return the sword to the monastery as a homage to Pei-Ling. Now we will discuss when will Episode 14 of Kung Fu Season 2 will release and what will happen in it.
Kung Fu Season 2 Episode 14 Release Date & Preview
Sadly there won’t be Kung Fu Season 2 Episode 14 as Season 2 ended with episode 13. But don’t worry, unlike other CW shows that were canceled, Kung Fu wasn’t on the list. So you’ll get to see the new batch of episodes with season 3. As of now, there isn’t any confirmed release date for the next season, but being a fall show, we assume that it will be released sometime in October.
It is far too early to speculate on the specifics of Season 3, although we believe it will be similar to Season 2 in a lot of respects. Consider the presence of a big threat that Nicky will have to deal with. Of course, we predict new challenges, as well as lots of action along the road. This is a series that has done an excellent job of balancing a variety of genres over time, and we don’t expect that to change once the dust settles. Hopefully, over the next several months, you’ll learn more about the season 3 official release date.
