Here we honor the late French actor Gaspard Ulliel covering his top 10 movies ranked by IMDB ratings. Gaspard was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine on November 25, 1984, and was an only child. From his early life, he studied English, and since he was very little, Gaspard developed a keen interest in acting.
Apart from his roles in movies, he was also the face of Bleu de Chanel, a fragrance from the haute couture fashion brand Chanel. At this point, he was Chanel’s first male model, and his first tv commercial for the brand was directed by the great Martin Scorsese. Now, without any further ado, let’s take a look at some of his best work!
Top 10 Gaspard Ulliel Movies Ranked By IMDB Ratings
January 19th marked the passing of Gaspard Ulliel, a popular French actor who died in a skiing accident. During his brief acting career, the former Bleu de Chanel face turned forth some amazing performances, even went further to capture almost all of the films in which he was involved. In addition to his supporting roles, he managed to land some starring roles, probably most notably as Hannibal Lecter’s younger self in Hannibal Rising. With Moon Knight, the actor’s final MCU appearance, fans can say farewell to him in possibly his most significant role yet.
10. Le Premier Cercle — 2009 (5.4/10)
You might find this movie in English with several other names like “The Dead List,” “Ultimate Heist,” or “Inside Ring.” It was directed by Laurent Tuel, and it stars Jean Reno, Vahina Giocante, Sami Bouajila, and Gaspard Ulliel. The plot goes as follows: Southern France’s underworld is ruled by the vicious Malakian family. Milo Malakian, its savage godfather, wields an iron fist to govern his universe. Anton, Anton’s son and successor longs for the freedom to make his own decisions. Blood has been spilled in the gang’s inner circle. Anton must outwit not only his own karma but also the man who has vowed to bring his father’s downfall in order to escape. Lastly, the movie is available on Amazon Prime Video. Check out the trailer:
9. La Troisième Partie Du Monde — 2008 (5.4/10)
La Troisième Partie Du Monde (The Third Part of the World) followed Emma (played by Clémence Poésy), a young woman with a very strange power. When she meets a man she cares for and touches them, they fade into nothing.
However, this is information she finds out the hard way. The role of François, the disappearing man as well as an astronomer, was the one (temporarily) inhabited by Ulliel. With the help of François’ brother, Emma has to find the cause of her new lover’s location. Unfortunately, the movie is not available on mainstream platforms as it is a niche French movie.

8. The Vintner’s Luck — 2009 (5.6/10)
A 19th-century France-set fantasy romance. Sobran —played by Jérémie Renier—, a young peasant vintner, and Celeste —played by Keisha Castle-Hughes—, his lovely wife, Aurora de Valday —played by Vera Farmiga, you may remember her from The Departed— and an angel named Xas —played by Ulliel— are the focus of the picture. Also, the movie is available for rent on YouTube and Apple iTunes.

7. Saint Laurent — 2014 (6.2/10)
Yves Saint Laurent was the subject of a 2014 biopic, Saint Laurent, which depicted his life from 1967 to 1976. Critics were generally split on the movie’s overall quality, which didn’t help its box office performance. However, the cast (which features No Time to Die’s star Léa Seydoux) was lauded, particularly for its performances. And what to say of the wardrobe! Also, Gaspard Ulliel, who was nominated for a Lumiéres and a César award, was cast as the film’s protagonist. This movie is available for rent or purchase from Amazon Direct Video, Google Play, YouTube TV, the Microsoft Store, and DirecTV.
6. Hannibal Rising — 2007 (6.2/10)
Prequel to Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal came Hannibal Rising in 2007. The film begins with a teenage Hannibal Lecter on a killing spree against Nazis before he expands his twisted vision. Even though Ulliel’s Hannibal Lecter was not as terrifying as the figure from The Silence of the Lambs, he still had moments where he was disturbing. The crux of the matter is why we’re doing this in the first place. It seemed clear that the French actor was the best choice to take on the part made famous by Anthony Hopkins.
The movie is available for streaming on Vudu, Red Box, Pluto TV, IMDB TV, Plex, Tubi, and Roku. You can also rent or purchase it from Apple iTunes, the Microsoft Store, AMC on Demand, Flix Fling, DirecTV, Amazon Direct Video, YouTube TV, Google Play, Vudu Fandango, and Red Box.
5. The Dancer — 2016 (6.5/10)
When 25-year-old Marie-Louise Fuller leaves the West for the bustling streets of New York City in 1887, we follow her journey. It is there that she plans to pursue her dream of becoming an actress while also creating a new dancing style along the way. She has earned the moniker “Electric Fairy” as a result of this. She moves to Paris when New Yorkers try to claim it for themselves. Gaspard Ulliel was cast as Fuller’s lover, Louis d’Orsay when Fuller arrived in Paris. Lastly, The Dancer is available for rent or purchase from Amazon Direct Video, Google Play, YouTube TV, and Apple iTunes.

4. Juste La Fin Du Monde — 2016 (6.8/10)
Juste La Fin Du Monde’s Louis-Jean, played by Ulliel, is one of cinema’s greatest tragic protagonists. He is a skilled writer who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. When he returns home, he must tell his family the good news for the first time in a long time. Louis is one of Ulliel’s most challenging jobs. In addition to Marion Cotillard, Léa Seydoux, and Vincent Cassel, the film has a star-studded cast, all of whom received critical acclaim for their performances. Even more so when you consider that the vast bulk of the small cast were all performing roles that were completely out of character for them. Regrettably, the movie is not available for streaming on mainstream platforms.

3. Le Pacte Des Loupes — 2001 (7.0/10)
The early century French action horror movie Brotherhood of the Wolf featured a star-studded ensemble. When a mysterious murder spree begins, Knight Grégoire de Fronsac and his Native American sidekick, Mani, are called in to investigate. They may, however, not be up against a typical male. It’s possible this thing is a beast. King Louis XV of France, a role Ulliel plays in this film, is a rather prominent one. You can also find this movie by its English title, “The Brotherhood of the Wolf,” on AMC+, Kanopy, Shudder, and Spectrum. Also, the movie is available for purchase or rent via Amazon Direct Video, Apple iTunes, Vudu Fandango, the Microsoft Store, Red Box, and Google Play.
2. Paris Je T’aime — 2006 (7.2/10)
Paris, Je T’aime (Paris, I Love You) is among the finest compilation films ever created, telling numerous different stories of love in Paris. From Gus Van Sant to Alfonso Cuarón, the Coen brothers, to Wes Craven, 22 directors helmed the 18 stories set in the city of love, which were filmed in various areas. Ulliel made an appearance in Van Sant’s section. He was cast as a young man who falls in love with a print shop worker and assumes that she is the love of his life.
You can stream this movie from Fubo TV, AMC+, Roku, Hoopla, Vudu Fandango, Tubi, Kanopi, Red Box, DirecTV, Crackle, Sundance NOW, Popcornflix, Pluto TV. Also from FilmRise, Spectrum, IMDB TV, and Topic. Lastly, you can purchase or rent it from Apple iTunes, Google Play, or the Microsoft Store.
1. Un Long Dimanche De Fiançailles — 2004 (7.6/10)
When Ulliel’s film A Very Long Engagement was released at the beginning of the century, it had the highest box office grossing of any of his films. Audrey Tautou played Mathilde Donnay, the fiancé of a soldier who was convicted of self-mutilation in order to be discharged from the army.
The soldiers were then believed to have been slain in uncharted territory. Donnay, on the other hand, is convinced he is still alive and will do whatever it takes to find out the truth. Ulliel plays the part of Manech Langonnet, Donnay’s fiancé, telling a significant section of the film from his perspective. Marion Cotillard and Jodie Foster rounded out the supporting cast. The movie is available for stream in Kanopi. It is up for purchase or rent via Vudu Fandango, YouTube TV, Google Play, Apple iTunes, DirecTV, Amazon Direct Video, and DirecTV.
