The Australian reality television music competition, which debuted its fifth season in February 2023, confirmed its renewal. The fifth episode of the season will premiere the following week. It is based on the international singing competition Masked Singer, which was inspired by the Korean television series King of Mask Singer.
Some people may easily identify the candidates after seeing the trailer. Thus, Conrad Sewell has to be the bouncer, and Amber Riley has to be Snow Fox. Maybe the Scary Grim Reaper, along with Darren Hayes and Courtney Act, the cowgirl. There are also rumors that Mischa Barton, Brendan Fevola, and Charlotte Crosby may make appearances in the upcoming season; however, it’s unknown what their stage names are.
There will be thirteen contenders this season, as opposed to the twelve in the third and fourth. In a picture published on the website of Channel 10, the upcoming group of masked singers is identified along with their stage names.
Recap
Our masks honor heroes, legends, and icons this evening. Everyone wants to win the golden trophy at the Grand Finale, and our final five are among the greatest vocalists to have ever graced the stage of The Masked Singer. The Masked Singer moved to two nights a week in the run-up to the season finale, and the celebrity revelations didn’t stop in Tuesday’s episode.
Following a gloomy performance of the Fleetwood Mac hit song Dreams, the identity of the Orca was revealed as Amy Sheppard, the vocalist for the Australian pop-rock group Sheppard. The quartet, who have three albums to their credit, are most recognized for their 2014 number-one hit Geronimo, which went on to become a seven-time platinum seller.
This time, the judging panel was unable to choose the winner; they had surmised that Orca might have been one of the top-selling US country music acts, such as Kate DeAraugo, Daryl Hannah, Mischa Barton, or The Chicks.
The revelation follows one of the season’s biggest shocks, which occurred an episode earlier: that “Burger Gal” was a member of pop music royalty, the Jacksons.
With Orca’s removal, there are now just four participants remaining for this season: Grim Reaper and Bouncer, who many viewers have assumed to be singers Conrad Sewell and Darren Hayes, respectively, from day one. Next are Snow Fox and Cowgirl, who we have selected as American Glee actress Amber Riley and legendary drag performer Courtney Act.
However, a new wildcard competitor enters the game on Monday. Will they be able to challenge the final four? The complete list of celebrities that have been revealed thus far this season is as follows: in Episode 1, US actor Brian Austin Green
In Episode 2, Ten newsreader Sandra Sully; in Episode 3, Summer Warne, the late cricket legend Shane’s daughter; in Episode 4, The Block judge Shaynna Blaze; in Episode 5, UK Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby; in Episode 6, Australian singer-songwriter Pete Murray; and in Episode 7, LaToya Jackson.
Preview
A new Wild Card is coming, and it’s not holding back. Is it too late to send one of our final four home and upset the standings? Is this Wild Card going to be a one-hit wonder?
