Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita Chapter 66 Recap
Fran and Urushi successfully arrived at Southern Barbra, where the 3000-year-old Crystal tree stands tall. Thanks to Urushi’s ability to air hop, they made the trip in just three hours, unlike horses. Fran was amazed by the sheer size of the crystal tree. The leaves of the crystal trees and plants surrounding it contained a great deal of magic, attracting many herbivorous magical beasts to the area. However, Fran had not come here to be awestruck by the tree’s beauty but to hunt a magical beast with suitable meat using her sword.
They began their hunt by sending Urushi to scout for prey. Urushi agreed with a woof! They successfully hunted down an F-rank magical beast, the Swamp Pig, and stored it in dimensional storage. However, Fran was not satisfied with such a low-level hunt and wanted to find and hunt down at least a D-rank magical beast to achieve a win. They ventured deeper into the forest to search for higher-ranking magical beasts.
On their way, a D-rank boar, Gullinbursti, ambushed them with an adventurer cat girl barely clinging to the top. Fran impulsively decided to kill the boar without considering that it was an ingredient and needed to be killed properly. The adventurer girl distracted the boar, and Fran managed to destroy its crystal.
The adventurer claimed that she would have defeated the boar without Fran’s help. In the midst of their conversation, a maid named Quina, who was accompanying the cat girl adventurer, intervened and thanked Fran for helping the adventurer. She also apologized for the cat girl adventurer’s behavior.
Fran convinced the two to give her the D-rank boar so she could use it in the cooking competition. They later teamed up to hunt down many D-rank magical beasts in the area with the promise of allowing the cat girl adventurer to taste the food that Fran would prepare during the competition. As they continued to hunt, they heard a loud, thundering magic nearby, which made everyone tense. They soon realized that, in their enthusiasm for hunting, they had ventured into the deeper, more dangerous parts of the forest.
