RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 4 Episode 2 Preview
The contestants of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 4 have only just been introduced to their new world, in the second episode due this week, and there is already no time to breathe as they have to stage their first ever “Yass-tonbury Festival”!
The new episode takes us through the iconic girl group challenge where the queens have been divided into two teams to perform and record original pop anthems of their own. Prior to that, British pop royalty Cathy Dennis gives the queens a masterclass on songwriting, while superstar FKA Twigs takes a seat on the judging panel alongside RuPaul, Graham Norton, and Michelle Visage to make up the festive line-up.
In next week’s episode, i.e, Episode 4, the search continues for Britain’s next Drag Superstar. It is awards season at the Drag Race, with the maiden Naff-ta Awards looming, where the spotlight lovers compete for trophies. Subsequently, the queens’ sewing skills are put to the test in a design challenge with a bingo theme.
As such, British supermodel Leomie Anderson warms the judging panel consisting of Alan Carr and Michelle Visage, alongside RuPaul, to determine which queen will be the next to sashay out of the competition.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 4 Contestants & Cast
It is worthy to note that one of these drag queens, Dakota Schiffer, will be scripting history as the first-ever woman contestant who is openly transgender. She recently told Gay Times,
“It’s important to show that trans people have vibrant lives and they’re funny! And they can have a good time. It’s time to finally shift that narrative, and I have a unique opportunity to showcase a side of our community that hasn’t been shown on national British television on this scale.”
The fourth season of Drag Race was filmed in Manchester in February this year and is the first regular series of the British version of the show to be televised on BBC Three after RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World earlier in 2022.
As also the first post-COVID season of the show, the boisterous drag queens were able to enjoy relatively more freedom because the pandemic had made it especially hard for them to benefit from the show with the dressmaking industry in limbo.
The season premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 4 was made to coincide with the finale of the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under and the third season of Canada’s Drag Race. Tune in on Tuesdays at 9 to see which queen will reign supreme.
