Palworld continues to enjoy a remarkable comeback following its Version 1.0 launch, with the survival crafting game drawing nearly one million concurrent players on Steam over the weekend. The milestone marks the title’s biggest resurgence since its record-breaking early access debut, highlighting the strong reception to the full release.
According to SteamDB and Steam Charts, the game peaked at roughly 961,000 concurrent players, although it remained just short of the one-million mark. The surge comes after the official 1.0 update introduced extensive new content and improvements, bringing millions of returning and new players back to the game.
Pocketpair celebrates overwhelming player support
Reacting to the milestone on X, Pocketpair Head of Publishing and Communications John “Bucky” Buckley thanked the community for its continued support. He wrote,
“Mind boggling numbers. Thank you so much, gamers. Palworld 1.0, and Palworld in general, really has been a surreal and life-changing experience.”
He also suggested that this may represent the game’s peak following the Version 1.0 launch, adding that he considers the result a major success after more than two years of community support.
Despite falling short of one million concurrent players, Palworld’s latest numbers are among the highest seen on Steam this year. The game’s all-time concurrent player record of more than 2.1 million, set during its early access launch in 2024, still stands as one of Steam’s biggest peaks ever. SteamDB data also shows the game maintaining overwhelmingly positive user reviews following Version 1.0.
Pocketpair has already confirmed that additional content is in development, including future updates and several previously announced spin-off projects, indicating that support for Palworld will continue well beyond its successful 1.0 launch.
