The Triple H members, as well as the whole group, were indeed one of the most iconic things that happened in the K-pop industry! It is not every day that you come across a co-ed group in the industry of K-pop. Companies have given up on these groups either because they do not gain popularity or because the companies think that the members will start dating. However, Cube Entertainment decided that Triple H was worth the risk. The group was teased by Cube Entertainment a few months before their actual debut.
Triple H debuted with three members (whose names started with H), thus leading to their group name. On May 1, the Triple H members debuted with their first extended play, 199X. As the members had been really popular, even individually, the group immediately saw a lot of success. The EP reached #4 on the Gaon Album Chart and #10 on the Billboard World Albums Chart. Next year, the group went on to release their second extended play Retro Futurism. However, Cube Entertainment lost its cool when two of the Triple H members admitted to dating each other. They terminated the members’ contacts as they could not ‘maintain trust’ with them.
To this day, K-pop fans see Triple H as wasted potential. The group could have been a great hit! Get to know the Triple H members in this article!
