Is Blue Bloods a Drama or a Movie?
“Blue Bloods” is a drama that shows a multi-generational family of law enforcement officers in New York City (first aired on September 24, 2010). Frank Reagan plays the role of New York City Police Commissioner and leads both the police force as well as the Reagan faction.
He runs the department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even as he uncompromisingly tackles the political issues that plagued his courageous father, Henry, during his tenure as boss.
A source of concern and pride for Frank happens to be his eldest son, Danny, an experienced detective, family man, and Iraq war veteran who, along with his partner, Detective Maria Baez, sometimes engages in questionable tactics. It is used to solve cases.
President Reagan’s female family includes Erin, an assistant district attorney in New York City. She also serves as a legal compass for her siblings and her father and as a single mother to her teenage daughter, Nikki. Jamie is the youngest of the Reagan Presidents, a Harvard Law School graduate, and the family’s “golden boy.”
Unable to deny his family’s heritage, Jamie decides to give up a lucrative career as a lawyer and follow in his family’s footsteps to become a police officer. He finds a friend and ally in his buddy Eddie, who keeps him looking out for him, but he joins the police force for completely different reasons than Regan.
Is Donnie Wahlberg Leaving Blue Bloods?
Well, fans do not have to worry about that for the time being, at least until the show returns. There is no indication that Wahlberg or any other cast member plans to leave Blue Bloods, and it seems like CBS is not ready to leave just yet.
This series could continue for several more years, perhaps even reaching its 20th season and joining a still fairly exclusive club.
The wait for Season 14 must be excruciating, but Blue Bloods fans are still fed up. CBS is reaching out to the Blockhead family to help the network begin airing classic procedural episodes in the fall of 2023.
The actor added that he loves “Blue Bloods” so much that he plans to remain on the series until his co-stars decide they do not want to continue with the popular series, which recently entered its 14th season.
He explained that this was a promise made years ago before the show had a loyal audience. “In Season 1, I promised Tom and Bridget that I would be with them as long as they wanted,” Wahlberg said.
Blue Bloods Was Renewed for a 14th Season.
CBS announced in March that Blue Bloods would be renewed for a 14th season, but the decision was reportedly contingent on the cast agreeing to a 25 percent pay cut going forward. Donnie Wahlberg hopes Blue Bloods fans get the ending they deserve.
Before the CBS drama got renewed for Season 14 in March, Wahlberg talked to PEOPLE about the possibility of the series being canceled without a proper ending and why he does not want that for fans.
Looking back on the fifth season of Very Scary People, Wahlberg, who plays Danny Reagan, said, “I love ‘Blue Bloods.’ If there wasn’t season 14, the show’s loyal fans would be… He would be very angry.” ID has been applied. “You are part of the Reagan family. The audience is a big family.”
He went on to say, “If the show ends without giving [viewers] a proper goodbye… I think they will be disappointed,” adding, “So I think there is going to be at least one more season.”
