The plot follows the life of Leonis Death Magnus, a dark lord who awakens after a thousand years of slumber to find the world under attack from monsters. He must ally himself with the humans he once fought against to fight those creatures.

The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy Episode 2: Recap
The previous Epsidoe of The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy opens with a panel that takes us six years back to the third assault garden. It was when the bloody battle between humans and the monsters first happened.
All the knights, including her mother and sister, have never lost a battle. Therefore, she suggests Regina Mercedes does not have to worry.
Riselia promises to join her father and everyone else in battle after receiving the blessing from the Holy Sword. She says, “I’m already entering preschool next week to start my training!” She was trying her best to give hope of survival against Voids to Regina Mercedes. But she fails miserably when she learns that humans have lost their battle against the Voids.
Only 15 humans were able to survive the bloody war between the two. In the same panel, we discover that everyone who was part of the battle lost their lives, including Riselia Ray Crystalia’s mother, father, and sister.
Back in the present, we see Leonis Death Magnus, Riselia Ray Crystalia, and Regina Mercedes. They were roaming around the town. Riselia Ray Crystalia and Regina Mercedes take Leonis Death Magnus to their place.
In the next panel, we see Leonis Death Magnus. He was impressed with the humans for building the beautiful island. Later, we see Riselia Ray Crystallia thanking Leo for healing her wounds.
She says, “It must have been your kind heart that manifested as a Holy Sword.” Afterward, they have a conversation, and Riselia offers Leo her place to stay. Overall, Episode 2 of The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy is one of the best and follows chapters 3 to 5 from the manga series.
