Fear the Walking Dead has a lot of ground to catch up for in Season 8. Season 7 was a flop with fans and reviewers alike, but it did deliver a season finale that promises a brighter future for the series. Madison’s reappearance was announced in the second half of Season 7, giving the show a fresh chance at life.
The reappearance of Madison has always been on the back foot for fans to keep an eye on, even when the story, battles, and back-and-forth storylines fell flat. Finally, she appeared in Episode 16 of Season 7, along with a few more twists and turns. There are lots of setups for Fear the Walking Dead Season 8, with PADRE as the established new baddie and Madison finding her way back into conventional Walking Dead culture. It gave the show a new perspective on life in the latter half of Season 7.
PADRE Is Real
There’s a valuable lesson here: don’t ever listen to Alicia Clark. Alicia uttered just lies in Season 7, denying PADRE’s existence and claiming to be PADRE. Perhaps it was all a deception to give her a sense of authority in her waning days, but PADRE is much more than a story. In Season 8, Fear the Walking Dead will approach the end of the PADRE rainbow, with Madison & Morgan making their way to a mysterious gathering on the lake.
The Season 7 finale doesn’t reveal much about the group other than the fact that they kidnap youngsters for fun. Will there be a Death Stranding-style revelation that the kids are the only hope for humanity’s survival? It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for Fear the Walking Dead to claim this, but for the time being, PADRE appears to be primarily concerned with maintaining the population intact without any emotional ties. PADRE is completely new terrain for the guys, and it’s still a mystery to them.
PADRE Stands No Chance Against Madison Clark
Madison makes a forceful reappearance as a puppet in PADRE’s evil plots to kidnap children for the sake of a better society. The whole Season 7 finale is spent with her and Morgan sparring over her devotion to PADRE, particularly after she fled with baby Mo. Madison promises to help Morgan get Mo back and have PADRE realize the mistake of their ways in the course of the 46 minutes of straight fighting and moral talks about kidnapping children.
Madison was able to tell a villain origin backstory and a salvation story in one episode, which is faster than the combined arcs of Strand and Wes. Despite the quick pace, it gives us a taste of the Madison we all know and love: the one who crushes everything in her way. Madison doesn’t hang around for a fun time; she sticks around to generate absolute chaos, as fans of previous seasons know. PADRE has no chance against Madison, who has returned with a passion for vengeance and an updated hammer.
Sherry Will Play An Important Role
Sherry hasn’t contributed much to Fear the Walking Dead, particularly as one of the show’s worst pairings. Season 8, on the other hand, is seeking to shake things up, with PADRE’s main target being Sherry. Morgan’s first inclination was to sell a pregnant Sherry out just to get Mo back because PADRE was on the hunt for babies, youngsters, and pregnant women. For the first time, Fear the Walking Dead appears to have a strategy for the future. Fans will have to wait and see if it’s a good concept. For the time being, Fear the Walking Dead fans can pass the time by generating their own guesses on how the forthcoming season will unfold.
Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 New Locations
Fear The Walking Dead has traveled across the United States, beginning in California and ending in Galveston, Texas, however season 8 departs from the Lone Star State. Morgan’s raft arrived in Louisiana, as shown in the season 7 finale, and while PADRE is clearly stationed somewhere, season 8 at least appears to be moving east.
According to a source, the production would be shifting from Dallas to Georgia, where OG The Walking Dead is also shot. Morgan and his companions are progressively migrating back to Alexandria and the people he left behind, despite the fact that this switch is influenced by behind-the-scenes forces as much as storytelling reasons.
