It’s the season finale for most of Dick Wolf’s shows on television and it’s Chicago PD’s turn for the Chicago franchise. In Chicago PD Season 9 Episode 22, we will see an adrenaline-packed and dramatic culmination for this procedural crime series. When an explosion rocks a case, the police squad must take down Escano once and for all because things reached a boiling point.
Long-time television producers Dick Wolf and Derek Haas are behind this great police procedural series concluding its ninth season. Moreover, PD stars Jason Beghe, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Amy Morton, and Marina Squeciati in key roles. They play detectives and police officers of a precinct in Chicago tasked with enforcing the law in tough neighborhoods while also taking a look at their personal lives.

Voight’s CI saved the day for his squad. Anna has acquired Escano’s confidence. Escano was the commander of the Los Temidos gang, and she sought vengeance on them had raped her to initiate her into the gang. But taking down Escano or his crew proved far more complex than they had anticipated. Months of undercover effort have been required. Anna was required to work in Escano’s bakery.
She gradually gained his trust because it exposed her vulnerability and put her child in danger. She kept working because Voight pledged to protect her, and a cop’s word was worth more than anything Escano could ever give her. Escano invited Anna to meet him at a suburban home.
Matteo
Matteo was the one who drove Escano to the house. Escano came from nothing. He has moved around, and the person he chooses as his driver could be very close to the action. Voight’s unit sat on Matteo after identifying him. They observed him attending a party. All they could hear was music until they heard cries. Detective Upton chose to investigate the screaming. It took her to the party where Matteo was. Matteo was gang-raping a girl there, and it turns out. They were also filming everything. Upton and Halstead apprehended two of the three suspects. They also called in Voight since they weren’t sure if it was just rape or a gang initiation.
The Plot Twist
Matteo and at least one accomplice were apprehended. Matteo attempted to imply that the party was the brainchild of Isobel. They instructed him to stop talking because the film demonstrates that none of this was Isobel’s idea, and that’s when they informed Matteo of the charges he faced. Escano, according to Matteo, was the inspiration for the party. He stated that Escano enjoys watching. He also noted that Escano desired dirt on all of his employees. Voight was aware of this since Escano approached him about working for him.

Escano had heard Voight was a lousy cop. As a result, he offered a bribe. He handed Voight a large sum of money in a bag, which Voight returned to his station, where it was recorded as an attempted bribe. Voight also had a meeting with Anna. He didn’t tell her about the rapes because he thought it would distract her. But keeping it hidden wasn’t a good idea either.
Voight had just informed Anna that Matteo had been arrested for car theft. Anna then carried it about with her till she spoke with Escano. Escano admitted that Matteo was picked up because a girl was injured. And Anna was able to piece together what had occurred. But first, something else happened. Voight dispatched his unit to arrest everyone, and just as Upton and Halstead were about to do so, one of the trucks exploded. It knocked the two detectives out. And the wicked guy escaped.
