In the last Episode of Billions Season 6, which was Cold Storage, we saw a lot of drama and mind games between Prince and Chuck. But the person who captured the most attention was Dave Mahar. She was such an intelligent lady. In the end, neither Chuck nor Prince was the winner, it was Dave Maher who won Season 7 (in my opinion). Here, we will explain the ending of Billions. At the end of the Season, you will also get a clue about Season 7 arrival.
The last Episode began with Chuck Rhoades and Mike Prince sitting in an interrogation room along with their Attorneys, Ira Schirmer and Kate Sacker, and Chuk’s successor Dave Mahar was interrogating them. Continue reading to learn more about the ending of Billions Season 6.
Billions Season 6 Episode 12 Recap
After discovering that Prince was about to run for the presidential election, Chuck tried very hard to present his reality in front of members by proving that he was unfit to run for the office presidency as he was funding Mike Money’s universal basic income program using crypt stacks.
When New York State Attorney General Dave was interrogating Chuck and Prince, along with their attorneys, we got to know that there was someone who would end up in prison at the end of the Episode.
Chuck found a cold-storage hard device in one of Prince’s offices. He was sure that Prince had hidden the crypto details. With the help of a tech expert, he opened the locked crypto and found $150 million in it. Woah! He told this to Dave, and because of this, General Dave seized all the (actually 11) similar cold storage hard devices from Prince’s multiple companies.
The tech experts got only 10 chances, and if they failed, they would end up shutting down the device permanently. This made Dave offer two choices to Prince and Chuck, which she recalled as a game of chickens. She told the rules if Chuck was guilty and they found cryptocurrencies in the device; then he would go to jail for doing tax fraudulence. And if Chuck is found guilty, then he would go to jail for illegally seizing someone’s property.
Prince was very much afraid because if he remained shut, he would end up losing $3.5 billion, and if he told the code, he would end up in jail and would also lose the opportunity of becoming the president. On the other hand, Chuck was risking his personal freedom.
Billions Season 6 Ending Explained
The tech experts could not open the device, and as a result, Chuck had to go to jail. And the Prince got free. At this point in the Episode, we did not know if Prince had those cryptocurrencies. Even his attorney Kate Sacker was aware of it, which made the first half a little bit foggy. Anyways, when Prince was retreating, he kept his one hand on the wall as if he was asking for a breath. Dave was silently watching all this.
Prince then entered a place where MPC staff were waiting for him. There he announced that he had just lost $3.5 billion. He was a little upset about it, but he was also happy that he no longer had to deal with Chuck.
Dave was watching Prince’s body language after the interrogation, for instance, when his knees buckled when he tried to stand up and when he put his hand on the wall. Dave was sure that Prince was lying.
Arresting Chuck was her plan, and shortly after the interrogation ended, Dave arrived to meet Chuck in Jail. And, here, she revealed that the warrant was fake and it was a plan. They secretly collaborated to take down Prince. According to Dave’s plan, she was going to keep Chuck in prison (not really) until Prince was not in prison.
Phillip and Taylor were the new co-successors of Prince. Uncle Scooter was aware of all Princes’ misdeeds, and he did not want Phillip to get mixed up with him. But when Uncle Scooter was making him aware, Phillip seemed not interested, as if he knew what he had signed up for!
Prince’s co-successor Taylor was not happy with his work which gave us a hint of Season 7 arrival. In Season 7 of Billions, we would probably get to see the escape of Taylor from MPC.
