Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 7 brings one of the scariest closings to a mid-season finale with two different storylines coming together. Last time on the show, we saw Jimmy and Kim picking up the final pieces for their D-Day, where they will finally see Howard going down until the plan met with a last-minute problem which saw Kim ditching the meeting with an organization like Jackson Mercer.
Jimmy noticed Casimiro, the judge of the Sandpiper case, with a broken arm. Jimmy’s photos see him fine, which may create suspicion. Thus leaving Jimmy and Kim to make a last-minute call to get things together as they are hours away from D-Day. Amidst all of this, Lalo continued taking steps to take down Gus. The seventh episode sees these storylines colliding for what looks like a terrifying second half ahead.
Better Call Saul S06E07 Recap
Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 7 opens up with Lalo Salamanca navigating his time inside a tunnel. He is keeping an eye on Gus’ laundromat, hoping to find a clue that he is building a meth lab. As he continued to wait, Jimmy and Kim were running out of time. They were hours before their D-Day and had to click photographs of Casimiro, the sandpiper judge taking a bribe from Jimmy.
Jimmy and Kim gathered the crew as fast as they could and managed to reshoot the whole thing. This time around, they had fake Casimiro with a broken arm much like the real one. Jimmy delivered the photographs to Howard’s P.I. in time.

Before the meeting began, Howard received a heads up on new development as the photographs came to him. Eventually, he touches the drug on those photos planted by Jimmy and Kim to make sure he hallucinates. Casimiro enters, and Howard instantly recognizes him as the man in the photographs.
Howard accuses Casimiro of taking a bribe. He tends the prove the same with photographs on his desk. But in no time, someone switched the photographs. In the new photographs over here, everyone can see Jimmy giving a frisbee to a man. Howard reacted aggressively, and everyone thought he was going crazy. The drugs on Howard start reacting. He tried to convince Cliff, only to fail. Cliff announces a settlement to close the meeting.
Amidst all of this, Lalo creates a video for Hector Salamanca telling him about Gus’ laundromat and how he believes Gus is building the mother of all meth labs. Eventually, he tries to contact Hector only to realize that Gus is tapping his call. This sees Lalo making up a story and stating that he is coming for Gus.
The episode comes to a close with a drunk Howard knocking on Jimmy and Kim’s door. He questions them about everything they did to destroy them. From the shadows, Lalo Salamanca came in. He ended up shooting Howard in the head as Jimmy and Kim kept screaming. Salamanca was certainly ready to talk now.
Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 7 Review
Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 7 was everything a mid-season finale should have been. For a show that delves slowly and steadily, the seventh episode picks up a faster pace and gives probably the most entertaining episode so far. If that wasn’t enough, so far, we had watched the storyline of Jimmy’s law practice and Cartel away from each other. This was the episode where they came together.
The first half of the episode continues the final adventure of Kim and Jimmy to make sure their plan against Howard succeeds. It did, and Howard saw his reputation going down. This time around, the storyline of Howard and Lalo Salamanca somewhere goes hand in hand.
Both of them were elites in their respective field, and we saw both of them losing at their own game in this episode. Eventually, they both ended up at Jimmy and Kim’s door. The unexpected death of Howard certainly brought awe to every viewer’s face out there. We began speculating the death of Howard the moment Lalo showed.
Howard’s death is probably one of the most terrifying scenes in the show so far. It certainly gives away why the name Lalo Salamanca was enough for the past few episodes to scare people away. We can see that fear right on Jimmy and Kim’s faces the moment he shows up. Jimmy and Kim have a lot on their shoulders with Howard’s death and Lalo showing, and we have to wait over a month to find out.
