Directed by Farren Blackburn and Alice Troughton, the fantasy drama series titled “A Discovery Of Witches “focuses on Diana Bishop, a witch and a historian, and her journey of solving mysteries with help from enigmatic Matthew Clairmont after she gains access to Ashmole 782.
Will you take help from a vampire if you are a witch? Probably not similarly, Diana shouldn’t trust Matthew, as he is one of the vampires. The fantasy drama series based on the novel trilogy by Deborah Harkness titled All Souls managed to attract an audience itself just by involving witches and vampires, as who doesn’t love a series involving a witch and a vampire?
Produced by Radford Neville and Dominic Barlow, the fantasy series stars Teresa Palmer playing Diana Bishop’s role, a tenured historian in Yale and daughter of powerful witches, Matthew Goode playing Matthew Clairmont’s role, a biochemistry professor and a vampire, Edward Bluemel playing Marcus Whitmore’s role, Matthew’s son, Louise Brealey playing Gillian’s role, a witch and a colleague of Diana.
Malin Buska plays Satu’s role as a witch, and Aiysha Hart plays Miriam Shephard’s role in the lead. The supporting cast includes Owen Teale playing the role of Peter Knox, a Congregation member and a witch, Alex Kingston playing Sara’s role, Valarie Pettiford playing Emily Mather’s character, and Gregg Chillin playing Domenico’s role.
Released on 14 September 2018, the series has three seasons with 25 episodes. Sky One brought the series for viewers to enjoy, with each episode having a run time of 45 minutes. The series has done well for itself amongst the audience due to it having a fan base from the readers club, if you catch my drift.
