Talking about his love interest, Erwin Olaf’s partner at the time of his death was Kevin Ray Edwards. Who is he? His husband, Kevin, also appeared in the movie titled- Erwin Olaf- The Legacy. They kept their relationship low-key, and that’s why we aren’t very sure when they got hitched.
Nothing much about Erwin Olaf’s partner is known. But, back in 2019, the photographer made a post on Instagram mentioning Kevin. His post said that they were proud to welcome their King and Queen to the exhibition in the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag (in The Hague).

Erwin Olaf Death Cause
Besides learning Erwin Olaf’s partner, the photographer’s death news is still very upsetting. What happened to him? It was on 20 September 2023, Erwin passed away at the age of 64.
Erwin Olaf died after suffering from emphysema for a long time. He was diagnosed with the disease back in 1996. It was so serious that doctors told him that he wouldn’t live past 60. He reportedly underwent a lung transplant a few weeks ago. The photographer was very vocal about his illness. CPR was even performed, but Erwin failed to respond.
Surprisingly, Erwin Olaf was also fine on the last day of his life until he started feeling unwell in the morning. It was sudden and unexpected.
It feels very bad to accept that Erwin Olaf is no longer with us. As the news of his death came in front of the public, many people paid tribute to him. Dibbits said, “Erwin Olaf saw beauty in every person. He said Olaf was of “historical importance” because of his activism and role in the LGBTQ+ community.” Erwin will be missed terribly.
