The Nun: Cast
On April 5, 2017, Demián Bichir was cast in the film as a priest exploring a religious woman’s baffling self-destruction. Taissa Farmiga was cast not long after as a Roman Catholic religious woman in her novitiate. Corin Hardy later said that he at first would have rather not cast Farmiga because of her being the sister of The Conjuring star Vera Farmiga, yet altered his perspective when he saw her auditions, “I watched 100 auditions for this job, and she had some sort of presence beyond her own body that is obvious, and she’s phenomenal.” Bonnie Aarons was then set to repeat her job as the “Devil Nun” character Valak from The Conjuring 2. Where The Nun Is Filmed?
The Main photography for the film started on May 3, 2017, at Castel Film Studios in Bucharest, Romania, with Maxime Alexandre filling in as cinematographer.
