From Season 1 Episode 10 is the one big finale that was going to answer a number of things. At least that’s what we believed. Especially with Boyd wandering into the woods having faith in what Father Khatri believed. Hoping the voices Sara hears will guide them to the right path. They may find a way home. There were signs that there is something out there or someone looking out until an attack ensued.
Coming to the people of the town, after the attack at a party, the community was kinda divided. But eventually, they got together and invested in Jim and Jade’s idea of building a radio tower. Although some saw this as just another false hope, there was a chance that someone on the other side may respond. So let’s take a quick look at what From Season 1 Episode 10 had in its store.
From Season 1 Episode 10 Recap
Previously on From Season 1, Jade managed to figure out the power problem they were having while building the radio tower. He believes the only electricity that will work here is from the town. Any electronics or appliances bought from outside the town won’t work. Unless he takes the end of that wire and joins it to a wire from inside the town that produces electricity.
Now, the town had to do was gather all the appliances around and help Jim and Jade to connect it to the tower. It is possible that by the end of the day, they may be able to establish some contact with the outside world. Amidst all of this, we saw a number of relationships developing. For example, Ellis proposed to Fatima.
Everyone had their hopes high for this radio. Okay, not everyone, but those who worked hard on this. The tower was successful, and a signal came through. The only problem was a storm coming towards the town. Despite that, Jim continued to try, and someone did answer through the signal. He even recognized Jim.
Things went south when he told him to tell Tabitha to stop digging the hole. Jim ran towards his house, but before he could arrive, she fell into the hole to find Victor coming to her rescue. Victor talked about some boy in white who asked him to wait for Tabitha here. The next thing Tabitha sees is paintings and the wall and Victor taking her away as he believes the place isn’t safe.
Apart from all of this, back in the woods, Boyd and Sara woke up to find themselves surrounded by spider webs. Boyd followed the direction from where the light came in last night. A voice asking for help lured Boyd in, where he saw his wife trapped in a web. But it was all an illusion, and soon spiders crawled upon him and bit him.
By the end of the episode, Boyd and Sara continued their journey to hear a familiar sound from the night. Soon they come across a lighthouse. There was hope, but the storm got worse. A boy in white directed Sara towards a tree where she sent Boyd. The next thing Boyd sees is he is surrounded by walls. A bus arriving in the town closed the episode.

From Season 1 Episode 10 Recap & Review
We had believed that the finale of From may answer a number of questions while leaving us intrigued. But it only left us with more and more questions. So it was not really a satisfying end, but we are still hooked. The first half of the episode was a lighthearted sign of hope. Something Donna and many people in the town still believe is a dangerous thing to have around here.
Still, some people just didn’t want to give up. Jade’s radio tower had raised the spirits of the town. Apart from this, believing they may finally leave this place, people went on to express their love for each other. So unlike most of the episodes, the finale wasn’t bloody but a wholesome watch for the first half.
Deep into the episode, we didn’t get the one thing we have been longing for the whole season. That one thing is “answers”. The first season came to an end. Still, we know nothing about the world inside the forest. We know nothing about the monsters or where they came from. Even Victor, who seems to know about this, has also left us questioning the direction he is following.
Now while these things are still a mystery, there are new mysteries, such as who lives at the lighthouse which Boyd and Sara saw. Is the Boy in the white a ghost or what? Plus, it seems like a new season was always in the plan. Although Epix hasn’t announced it yet. The arrival of a bus at the end of the episode suggests there are new faces we may see if the show returns to answer these mysteries.
