Rentarou finally managed to get his first two girlfriends in the previous episode. Viewers are excited to meet the rest of his girlfriends in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Episode 2.
Rentarou Aijou proposed to his classmate Asakawa but immediately got rejected by her even though she liked him a lot as a friend for his friendly and straightforward nature.
He was very nice to everyone around him, so she liked him a lot. But the idea of dating him made her feel disgusted.
Rentarou was going through rejection blues. Because that rejection made him feel worse than he had ever felt, unfortunately, it was his hundredth rejection.
He desperately wanted to have a girlfriend to do all the silly things that couples usually do, but nothing was going as he planned.
He visited a shrine and prayed to the gods of love for a girlfriend. Because he wanted to date and have a happy high school life, the god of the shrine appeared in front of him. Rentarou mistook him for a thief, but after further clarification, he understood that it was indeed the god. The god told Rentarou he would get his destined girlfriend in high school.
He described that they would instantly fall in love at first sight. But he explained that the girl would find out that it was love at the very second they met.
But Rentarou would realize it gradually. He told Rentarou that he would meet a hundred soulmates at high school, and one of them could eventually become his girlfriend.
Rentarou told him if he found out he was lying, he would come back and burn down the shrine.
The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Episode 1 Recap
One month later, Rentarou attended his high school entrance ceremony. While walking down the corridor, he got knocked by some girls.
He apologized to them, but when the three of them looked at each other, they felt a shock through their entire body.
Rentarou was wondering if what the god at the shrine told him was truly happening to him in reality. He was wondering if the two beautiful girls in front of him were his possible soulmates.
The two girls pretended that they were badly injured so Rentarou would carry them to the infirmary. But on their way, the two of them kept clinging to him like he was the one who was injured.
He felt like the luckiest guy on the planet. They introduced themselves to each other. They found out all three of them were in the same class. Coincidentally, they heard about the school’s love superstition from their passerby.
So the girls left Rentarou and went to find the pink four-leaf clover. Rentarou helped his teacher find his lens after school for four hours before leaving for home.
He found out the girls were still searching for the pink four-leaf clover after school. But when Rentarou approached them, they pretended that they were not searching for the clover leaf.
He offered drinks to the two of them, but one girl ended up leaving. The other girl proposed to Rentarou and asked him to go out with her.
The girl confessed that she was in love with him, and he was over the moon because it was the first time he had proposed to a girl.
