We are all aware of stories where the hero dies while fighting the villain and gets reincarnated back in time. Or sometimes gets transported to a different world. Things are a little different in Dead Mount Death Play. Before heading further, if you haven’t read the Manga yet, there will be a few minor spoilers ahead. As I mentioned below, things are a little different this time around.
The one that gets reincarnated is the villain. We are shown an intense fight between the hero, the Calamity Crusher, and the Villain, The Corpse God. There is one attribute they share, the Evil Eye. The ability to see spirits. They now directly result from how they choose to use the Evil Eye. They are quite literally the opposite ends of the Evil Eye spectrum.

The Hero, Sir Shagrua, is skeptical of his victory. He remarks how when his sword hit his body, he felt the activation of a spell. He explains how it felt like Teleportation Magic. However, since the Body of the Corpse God is there for all to see, he pushed the worries out of his mind. He did his soul vanish with his Evil Eyes. Furthermore, he received word from the church that the Nercomancer’s soul was no longer in this world.

Dead Mount Death Play Episode 1 Spoiler – What To Expect From Episode 1?
In Dead Mount Death Play Episode 1, we will see The Corpse God settle into his new life. From the Manga, we know he was reincarnated into the body of one Polka Shinoyama. He was killed off by an assassin for some unknown reason. Where Shinoyama’s life ended, another started. The Corpse God woke in a daze, blood dripping from his slit throat.
He Looks around in awe as he has never seen a city so advanced. He remarks how there might have been some miscalculations in his spell. He was supposed to get reincarnated as someone in his world. Just then, he is approached by a couple of police officers concerned about his blood-soaked clothes. They seem to think it’s part of a costume.
Shinoyama remarks how he cannot understand the language. But he soon extracts linguistic data from the subject’s brain. He recognizes the language to be Japanese. Furthermore, it seems he can feel any magic, and his Evil Eye also seems not to be working. Before he can do anything else, he is saved by a girl. She drops in from the air, grabs his arm, and starts running.
