With Trevor Noah leaving The Daily Show, fans are curious as to what brought him to make this decision. Well, let us discuss just the reason why he did what he did. Trevor was the senior international correspondent on the series, but in 2014, all that changed. Jon Stewart, the long-time host of the series, was leaving the spot, and it was vacant. Thus, Trevor Noah, given the talent he possesses, was put in the position of the host.
Noah happens to be a comedian and a writer. He has previously worked in the form of a producer and an actor as well. His commentaries generally include the news genre, such as politics and entertainment. We have seen him cover various issues, such as the topics about Donald Trump and his presidency and even the pandemic.
During his run as the host of The Daily Show, he has even commented on George Floyd’s death and the consequence and the racism along with the riots which happened in January 2021. As a host on the show and doing an absolutely amazing job at that, we saw him being nominated for 11 nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards. He even won one for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series.
Now that it has been almost seven years since Noah stepped into his role as the host of the series, he has finally made a decision to step down as well. I mean, we all knew he would not be the host forever but saying goodbye is kind of hard given the fact that he has done an amazing job at it all these years, and it would be hard to imagine The Daily Show without his quirky jokes and humorous explanations to serious matters.
Noah is currently 38 years of age. Well, given the fact that this news truly shocked the fans, it also does not sit right with us without knowing why Noah ever made this decision. Thus, let us explore just that.

For this, he feels immense gratitude for himself and how everything has shaped his career till now. Trevor then went on to thank everyone who was involved in his life to make this journey a successful one. Trevor says that he loved to host the show for the fam, but it is time he explores new opportunities. The host talked about how this was an incredible experience for him to be right here and tackle all the challenges with the crew and the staff, and the producers while trying to make people laugh, even if the issue might be very concerning for them all. But despite all of that, he feels like he is missing out on the other aspects of his life which need to be acknowledged by him and explored in the true sense, and obviously, we, his fans, support him in this very personal decision that he made and chose to share with us all.
