1. Poking In The Eye
Jones’s first controversy was his poking the eyes of his opponents during his fights. He received immense backlash from his fans when he mocked his fans with an Instagram post where he used a crying filter with the caption Jones poked me in the eyes.
Jones later, in an interview, clarified his poking the eyes of his opponent isn’t deliberate. It’s just how his body reacts during the UFC fights.
2. Daniel Cormier Altercation
Another controversy Jones fell into was during a promotional event for UFC 178 on August 4, 2014, where he got into an altercation with one of his co-fighters, Daniel Cormier.
The scuffle is started by Jones after he puts his head against Daniel, who pushes him hard in retaliation. Jones was asked to pay a fine of $50,000 along with doing forty hours of community service.

In Albuquerque on April 27, 2015, Jones was accused in a hit-and-run case where he got accused of hitting two other cars after he skipped a red light.
