Love Island Season 9 Episode 28 starts with the aftermath of the dumping of Ellie and Jordan, and Samie and Tom are basically saying, “if we had left today together, I would be so happy.” But, I’m sorry, I don’t think they would be happy to leave with each other. I think that Samie brings out the best in Tom from what we’ve seen. And I do think that they really have a good connection.
But I feel like Samie maybe would have loved having a long time there and more opportunities to explore other people. Tom has had his run, so whatever. And at first, he was kind of like, “oh, it would be sad.” And Samie was the one saying, “no, I’d be happy if it was you and me.” And then he kind of switched his tone. So yeah, that was kind of interesting to me.
What Happened Last Night On Love Island Season 9 Episode 28?
Shaq and Tanya are having separate conversations with other couples, basically sharing how they’re still very frustrated with each other but don’t wanna talk to each other. The ick comment absolutely put me up as well. Just because you claim to love somebody, I’m sorry, something like an ick is not going to be enough to end the relationship or the exclusivity or whatever that they have going on.
It’s clear that they both dove in head first very quickly. And now they’re learning the things that determine whether or not you do love somebody after the fact. So it’s kind of like they did it backward, and now they’re playing catch up. It is what it is, and shout out to Samie being the MVP, basically saying, “listen, relationship tiffs, it happens, and don’t think that this means you’re not compatible or this means you’re going to work out.”
Even Will was saying the same kind of thing, Jessie included. Just because Jessie’s acting right in the presence of Will does not mean she has not been an enemy of progress. Everybody else is not looking out for their best interests, in my opinion, so I’m glad to see that they do have people in their corner.
Tanya Explains The “Ex Comment”
Now Tanya goes on to explain to Tom the ex situation in more context, and when she really like breaks it down, it does make a little bit more sense to me. I do think that they both were in the heart the moment when sharing their emotions about the situation.
So the words relayed were different from the words intended and did not give the intended response as well. So I get where the whole cluster disk was coming from and all that. I just wish they did take a breather before talking about it. And again, I don’t care what any of you guys say on the internet if you’re seeing “Tanya was in the right for reprimanding him in public.”
I’m sorry. That’s just one thing I will never be an advocate for. I just feel like when you were in a partnership, respecting your partner is like saying, “Ok, this is an issue, but in terms of getting down to the nitty-gritty of it, I’m going to do that with you on the side and then we’re going to come back, to the public.” And shout out to Tom for being a voice of reason, for once, and he was actually giving Shaq some really good advice. Ok, Tom, it ain’t working on me yet. But it’s starting to.
Olivia Doesn’t Know Why She And Kai Were In The Bottom Three
The next morning, everybody’s talking about how loved up they are and how great things are going. Olivia, however, is reflected with Kai on the dumping, and she’s wondering why she was at the bottom when Casey and Claudia were not.
She said I didn’t expect me and you to be chosen over Casey and Claudia. But to say that someone’s compatible after two days compared to two weeks, and you can’t compare them.” Olivia, let me tell you something, it is a joint effort. It was a joint effort from the two of you. It wasn’t Kai gallivanting and whatever. It wasn’t you doing your separate thing. It’s just that we don’t like both of you. Equally, there’s enough just like to go around, trust me.
Shaq And Tanya Have An Mature Conversation
Shaq and Tanya finally speak about the situation, and before they head into the conversation, they agree to be open-minded about each other’s perspectives. Tanya says, “As much as you can have a saying, give people advice, and while we just weren’t always involved.”
Then Shaq says, “I am not gonna spend my time or invest in someone that feels like I have similarities to an ex.” Then Tanys says, “For me, it’s not a deal breaker. It’s not something that’s gonna change our dynamic.” Then Shaq says, “I will always try and be a better man for you.”
Here I was thinking, wow, this was such an adult conversation. They really hurt each other out, explained themselves well, and articulated their feelings clearly, and concisely. I’m like, this was great.
Tanya And Olivia Talk About Each Other’s Problems
Now Tanya, at this moment, was really, really, really irking me because why did she go to Olivia saying, “I feel like he just doesn’t hear me. I feel like, you know, yeah, we did talk about it, but he still doesn’t understand where I come from”. I felt like he completely understood where she was coming from.
So while speaking to Olivia, Tanys says, “I kind of felt like I’m still not being heard. He was going around in circles”. Then we see Shaq speaking to Will, saying, “her reason behind it was: I’m telling you how I feel because I don’t want you to carry on doing certain things.” Then Tanya says to Olivia that she feels that it might not work between the two.
Tanya, if you want an easy way out, just take it now. Because sometimes, the excuses she gives for not giving Shaq the energy confuse me. They are valid because they are her reasons, but they confuse me. I’m like the mam really sat there, heard you out, relayed what you said.
I feel like he understood, and even his conversation with Will showed me that he understood. But for you to feel like you cannot fully express yourself. That’s how you feel, so those feelings are valid. And if that’s the case, then yeah, leave, leave the situation.
Then you have Olivia still trying to rationalize why she’s at the bottom, and Tanya is like, “well, maybe it’s because of all the things that happened to Kai.” And while speaking to Tanya, Olivia says, “like how we are less compatible than Casey and Claudia.” To this, Tanya says that maybe it was because Jai jumped from Tanyel to her and didn’t give an f.
But I don’t think that is the reason. It’s just like I said. We don’t like you, Olivia, and Kai. It has nothing to do with who you’ve been previously coupled up with before. Because all the things that we don’t like Kai and Olivia for are just personality reasons, more because of Olivia. And we were so close to getting her out of the house. But There’s still time, by force or by fire. I do not want to see her in the finals, but we’ll see how that goes.
The Casa Amor Guys Line Up Enters The Villa
Everybody’s getting ready for the evening, and the ladies get a text that Casa Amor is on the horizon, so they gather their belongings and rush over to the next villa, where they will meet the new Casa boys.
I won’t call them by their real names until they make it to the main villa. So the new people that we have are (Ryan) Ed Sheeran. For obvious reasons, he is a ginger, but I didn’t want to call him Ginger, so we’re calling him Ed Sheeran. Then we have (Martin) Demisha because he reminds me of Demi. But like a fierce version of Demi, don’t ask for rationalization. It just makes sense in my mind.
Then we have (Kain) Eyes because he has blue eyes. Then we have (Maxwell) Curly because of his curly hair, of course. Then we have (Franklin) X because, honestly, he was just so bland. It was giving me nothing. So we’re just going to call him X. And then lastly, we have (Bayley) Tats because he is all tatted up.
So we will see how Casa Amor goes. We get to see the women in the next episode, and Ron was already talking about, “oh, it’s our party now. You know what, Ron, do your worst. I would love to see what you could do. I want to see your fullest potential.
