Limitless: Chapter 19 Recap

In the previous chapter of Limitless, Lee Seonho accidentally crosses paths with Kang Deoksu when he is investigating a neighborhood. Deoksu tells Seonho that he works in this neighborhood and asks him if he has come to the business with the Ki Group since he is here. Deoksu is pretty friendly to Seonho and asks him to look after himself. Deoksu tells Soenho that he knows a great place nearby and that they can dine there. Seonho suspects that the old man had put Deoksu up to this, and it was not a coincidence.

Seonho is dragged along by Deoksu, who is greeted by a lot of people as they walk. It seems like Deoksu is pretty well-known in the neighborhood. Deoksu looks pretty kindhearted and buys vegetables from an old lady, which reminds Seonho of his own father, who used to do the same. Deoksu and Seonho reach the restaurant, and Deoksu gives the owner the vegetables, telling her it is a gift. The two of them get seated and place their order. They are talking when a group of gangsters accuse the old lady of being negligent since they found a cockroach in their food and asked for money. Hotteok and Deoksu beat up the gangsters and asked the restaurant owner if she had gotten involved with some loan. She confesses that she had to take a loan from Ki Group and then from Geumhan Capital to pay for the interest since the rates had hiked up all of a sudden.
