He warns Gaipa not to fall in love with Wen since he seems wealthy but doesn’t fit in, even though he is attractive. While the two longtime friends discuss the development of the Marina Food Hall, Wen leaves the room and goes to the back.
There is a strange stillness as Wen requests directions. Jim informs Gaipa that Wen is, indeed, the new waitress. Jim is informed by Gaipa that he’d have assisted rather than recruited fresh help. When questioned about school at school, Li Ming replies that he is unsure, while his pals discuss the expensive private universities they could go to.
They continue by viewing some images of attractive women, which causes Li Ming to feel terrible. He is disappointed when he receives his homework and learns that he failed. He enters the diner when Jim informs him that he has registered him for a free tutorial class. Li Ming leaves his job at Supoch’s, furious that Jim didn’t ask him first.
While cleaning up, Wen discovers a brochure on how to earn and travel and turns to face Li Ming. Heart informs Li Ming that he doesn’t want to do chores while they both watch a film at Supoch. Heart apologizes for the bottle as they converse back and forth while scribbling on a notepad.
Jim is reviewing the bills. He beams when he notices that Gaipa has paid for most of them. Leng arrives with Praew and informs Jim that she is expecting. Praew asserts that her family won’t permit it unless they get married. Leng’s lack of funds causes them to start fighting. Jim advises them to pause and consider their options.
