Love is an Illusion is a bl Korean manhwa series written by Fargo. It follows a guy named Hye-sung whose life turns upside down when he discovers that he is not an Alpha, which he believed himself to be, but rather an Omega—a revelation that shakes the very foundation of his identity and leaves him feeling insecure.
During a rooftop party, Hye-sung overhears someone challenging his status as an Alpha. Desperate to project an Alpha persona himself, Hye-sung resorts to using an alpha-pheromone-infused perfume, hoping to mask his genes.
Amid all this turmoil, Dojin, an Alpha who harbors a strong repulsion towards Omegas, crosses paths with Hye-sung. Observing Hye-sung’s unstable state, he questions him about whether he is going into heat or something—an undeniable sign of his Omega status. Despite Hye-sung’s insistence on being an Alpha, Dojin guides him back to his place when he goes out of control for stability and care.
Waking up at Dojin’s home, Hye-sung finds himself both confused and curious by the Alpha’s presence. As Dojin indulges in his passion for music, Hye-sung gradually begins to question the facade he has built and the walls he erected around himself.
Accompanied by Kyungsoo, Hye-sung, in a twist of fate, attends a concert where he meets Dojin once again. Surprised by Hye-sung’s presence in the audience, Dojin’s curiosity is piqued, further igniting the fire between them.
However, not all encounters are pleasant, such as the time when someone with a face mask mistreated Hye-sung. At that time, Dojin defends Hye-sung and rebukes the guy for his behavior. This incident deepens their bond and illustrates Dojin’s growing sense of responsibility for the powerless Omega, Hye-sung.
Meanwhile, Dojin grapples with his own conflicting emotions. Despite his strong aversion towards Omegas, he finds himself unable to resist the charms of Hye-sung and is infatuated with him.
Hye-sung’s journey of self-acceptance and self-love takes center stage. Through trials, misunderstandings, and personal growth, both Hye-sung and Dojin gradually unravel their hearts to each other. The characters of the Manhwa are, at best flawed, but this allows us to empathize with them, cheering them on as they steer through the difficult path toward understanding and accepting a love that transcends societal constructs.

In side story(6), We see Dojin reminisces about how turbulent the past few months were due to Hye-sung and Byul’s photos getting leaked online. Still, he is glad now that everything has settled down.
Suddenly, he received a text message from a guy named Jungwoo about him supposedly being one of his high school classmates. Dojin couldn’t remember him, so he texted him to ask if he could provide a more detailed description. But what that guy did next infuriated Dojin. Fearing that Dojin might kill Jungwoo in his rage, Heesoo calls Hye-sung, asking him to come over and stop his Alpha quickly.
Jungwoo is out with his friends, slandering Hye-sung for being a detectable recessive omega who once tried to come on to him. But when Dojin suddenly arrives, they all quiet down. Dojin raises his voice, asking them to talk; Heesoo tries to stop him but to no avail. But when it seemed like Dojin beating Jungwoo to a pulp was inevitable, Hye-sung arrived just in time to stop Dojin.
