Esaret Recap
In the previous few episodes of Esaret, we witness Afife being anxious for the first time as the nurse, who had been collaborating with her on several awful schemes, is exposed. Orhun discovered the woman in a hospital. Afife then scolded the housekeeper. The housekeeper who is the target of the regular insults tries to put an end to Afife’s remarks, but ultimately, he fails to do so.
We also briefly see a number of prior secrets being revealed, which causes Orhun to suffer greatly. He instantly reinforces the walls he had built up between himself and his mother, Afife when he finds out about his history. As a result, Orhun says some very hurtful words to Afife, which shatters her.
Orhun fell silent after experiencing the feeling of being in unending sorrow, which frightens the other members of the family. Seeing, Orhun’s condition, Hira comes over to him and does her best to comfort him.
Later, Orhun grieved by himself without saying much to Hira. Then Orhun is seen to be grieving and furious at the same time as he finds it difficult to discern between right and wrong. So, he ponders about what would be the ideal punishment for Afife to make her realize her sins.
In the end, Orhun chooses to send his mother away from the family to live alone on a farm. This choice made by Orhun comes as a shock, to not only Afife but also the rest of the family. It ends up hurting Afife’s pride. However, she agrees with his decision.
