UK’s all-time hit dating series, Love Island, will be releasing a new episode this week. With less than 12 contestants left in the competition, the couples have started to make up the strategies that could help them win, but this comes at the cost of creating drama within other existing pairs to ensure their survival.
First seen on television on 7th June 2015, Love Island was a revival of similar series from the 2000s. As soon as the first season was aired, the dating series became the most popular British series. It also led to various other countries coming up with their adaptation of the show. As popular as the show became, Love Island has managed to gather quite a bit of controversy over the years.
The first-ever host of the show was Caroline Flick, with the humorous narrations being provided by Ian Stirling. For the latest installment of Love Island which has been airing since January 16th, 2023, the host will be Maya Jama. This season is filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, and filming took place for 58 days.
The format of this season will be the same as always, where a group of single men and women will be staying at a Lavish house and will be competing in all kinds of challenges. While winning the challenges is necessary to add the money to the pot, the main goal of the show is to form couples that could win the whole competition by staying until the end of the game. Those who fail to find their partners are eliminated from Love Island.
What Happened in Love Island Season 9 Episode 51?
In the previous episodes, we see the islanders having a party after the stressful elimination day. Everyone gets ready for the event and heads downstairs, where they find everything already set up for them. Ron feels the comment Shaq passed was unnecessary that Lana was only with him because he was popular. The couple talks more about the day and Ron lets Lana know that he has true feelings and is not with her for any kind of game.
Meanwhile, Shaq is also thinking about it but doesn’t think he has to apologize for something that obvious. Ron calls Shaq for a personal convo. He tells him that he doesn’t want Shaq to plan random ideas in Lana’s head, as he’s not with her for popularity. Shaq and he later make up since they know the comment was not coming from a bad place.
Ron goes back to Lana, where they talk about a divide among the remaining contestants. They call Will, Casey, and Tom the three musketeers, since the three couples have been sticking to each other for a while now. He is unaware that they are already talking about him, and the way he and his girlfriend reacted to Shaq’s comment. They all come to sit with Ron, and he tells them that although people might be thinking that he’s just cruising in the game, he is playing it strategically.
Casey and Rosie have a chat, where Rosie asks him if he likes her. He says he fancies her a lot and wanted to be with her since the game began. Rosie later tells Ron and Lana about him. Ron says he should have expressed his feelings more, but doesn’t because he likes being a part of the Three Musketeers. The couples that the show now has are Tom and Samie, Rosie and Casey, Shaq and Tanya, Will and Jesse, Kai and Sanam, and Ron and Lana.
