One such show is South Park which might not be the best show for kids but at the same can be hilarious for adults who love comedy.
South Park is an American sitcom that is based on satires and black comedy and most essentially are one of the leading animated adult show that has been around for almost two decades now and still continues to be one of the most loved shows. The show offers some great laughs and indeed the comedy is too good, a wide audience can enjoy that.
The show began airing in the year 1997 and since then the show has been airing on the screens every year and every season, making it one of the most-watched shows. Even though many may compare the show’s comedy to The Simpsons and The Family Guy, it differs in the aspect that the show is based purely on three kids who aren’t very well-mannered and usually use foul language often landing them into trouble and comical situations.
The show has been running since then and over the years it has been renewed multiple times, with several seasons being promised in one go due to the high popularity
show. The current season is the 26th season of the show and it has yet again managed to capture the attention of the people who simply can’t get enough of the show and has become a household name.
The show is based on the story of four boys named Stan, Kenny, Eric and Kyle who are the residents of a place named South Park. They are next to a nuisance for the people around them as they prove their hilarious and yet strong friendship year after year, they also make some of the greatest adventures together. The show was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and they are also the voice of two of the characters Mary Kay Bergman and Issac Hayes.
The show’s scriptwriting has been considered to be one of the most unique ones ever to exist. Normally, the season and episodes of the show are written before the show goes into production but unlike all the other shows, South Park does it differently as the episodes are written weekly. The brainstorming of the episodes begins on Thursdays with the team of writers consulting with Parker and Stone who generally are bigger contributors to the writing of the show.
The show’s characters are considered to be unusually cute and they are small and two-dimensional characters, with big round eyes moreover the way they walk, many find that funny and comical as well. The characters and the plotline of the show add-on to the charm of the show. South Park is preceded by the short animated movie that is known as “The Spirit of Christmas” which was later turned into the show.
