Wanna know how to use the TikTok playlists? You’ve come to the right place! It’s 2022, and on TikTok, business is a-booming. The short video sharing platform has been riddled with controversies ever since its inception, but still, as of August 2022, the platform has over 1 billion active users, with 200 million from the United States alone. So, it’s safe to say that TikTok is here to stay.
With TikTok, a creator has a fanbase like no other social platform. Not only is the app pushing new creators up the ladders of the algorithm, but even well-established creators can reach out to more people. And in March 2021, TikTok introduced the playlist option to organize and share popular videos. Though it was first rolled out selectively, the later updates made TikTok playlists available for all. Creating a TikTok playlist is a relatively straightforward task. It barely takes five minutes to set it up and take it to live.
Creating A TikTok Playlist
Open TikTok and go to the Profile/Feed page. Above the videos tab, there are the Sort Videos into Playlists option. Click on it (if you already have a playlist, a + button would be available). Give your playlist a unique and eye-catching name. Be careful while naming, as that is how your audience would view the playlist. Add the videos you want into the playlist by long pressing on the videos until they’re selected. When you’re done, click next.
Arrange the video in any order you want. It can be done by holding and moving the hamburger menu icon on the right. Videos can be toggled up or down. If you want to add more videos, return to the previous page by using the chevron icon on the top left of the page. If you’re ready to rock and roll and share your creativity with the world, press on Create Playlist at the bottom. Voila! Your playlist has been created!
How To Remove A Video From The Playlist
Suppose you are revamping your playlist and would like to remove some videos instead of deleting the playlist but are unsure how to proceed. Let us assist you through the process. Open TikTok and go to the Profile/Feed page. On the top, click on the TikTok playlist option. Open the playlist and long press on the videos you want to delete. Tap on the Remove From Playlist option. Refresh the page.

I Don’t Have A Playlist Option
Unfortunately, due to geological updates, glitches, and other user activity, the playlist option might not be available to certain creators at the moment. They can usually be fixed by updating the application. If TikTok playlists are available, but some of the features are missing, they could be in beta/testing mode.
In case you’re not able to access the playlist even after updating, reach out to the TikTok technical support team. They’ll gladly sort it out.
TikTok Playlist Not Available In 2022 After Update
Sometimes, even after updating the application, there are rare cases where a creator is not able to access the TikTok playlists. Though the most common reason could be the lack of availability due to the geographical location, there are also cases where TikTok playlists are not available due to the version of the device. If the device doesn’t have enough available storage, or if the OS is of an older version, some options would not be available.
In such cases, the only fix is upgrading the OS or buying a new device. Another reason could be the follower count. Though TikTok hasn’t mentioned the follower count that is needed for the TikTok playlist to be available, certain thresholds and quotas need to be fulfilled. Sometimes, the option could be available after 10K followers, while for some, it goes to over 100k and beyond. So, if you’ve on a new device and you’re yet to receive the TikTok playlists, patience is the key.
Summing up, TikTok is a platform that is constantly evolving. While the algorithm supports all creators, due to the geological locations, certain app features could be hidden for some users. It could be due to a variety of reasons; from the feature still in beta to security concerns raised by the government. Ultimately, like all social media platforms, adapting to the circumstances is the key to success.
