Known for her hits like Young and Live It Up, Tulisa is an R&B/Hip hop singer that first made her debut in the 2000s, along with cousin Dappy and fellow rapper Fazer. They used to be a part of a group called N-Dubz, which became a sensation soon after they started releasing their music together.
Born on 13th July 1988, Tulisa was raised in London, England, by parents that were Irish and Greek. When Dappy and Fazer paired up to start producing music, they felt they lacked a female voice in the group and had Tulisa become a part of N-Dubz. This new group of theirs managed to top the UK charts with infamous songs like Strong Again.
It was 6 years later, in 2012, that Tulisa released her first solo album titled “The Female Boss”. She appeared as a judge on X Factor and is partially responsible for the success of the group Little Mix. Tulisa left the show after a few seasons to focus on the music industry.
Over the course of her career, Tulisa has received a lot of hateful comments for her cosmetic enhancements, which seemed to have started with lip injections and becoming brunette. Despite the hate, Tulisa has remained a sweet soul that keeps coming out with good music as the days pass.
Tulisa Before And After What Happened To The Singer?
Born as Tula Paulina Contostavlos, Tulisa attended Haverstock Secondary School before entering the world of music. Through the group N-Dubz., she was able to gather immense popularity in a short period. Asides from her powerful voice, it was her beauty and charm that also contributed to her success.
In the pictures from her early fame, it’s apparent that Tulisa was someone that was born with the kind of beauty people pay for nowadays. Unfortunately, Tulisa was made to believe that she wasn’t beautiful enough for the new generation. She expressed in an interview how she treated her physical self as a business and would try to maintain everything so that it doesn’t affect her career.

People started noticing her changed appearance back in the 2010s when she was seen indulging in lip injections. This changed her appearance quite a bit, but not enough for her to look like someone completely different. As she began getting more cosmetic enhancements, trolls started flooding her social media with hate comments regarding her face, going as far as threatening her for no reason.
As a person, she had the complete right to treat her body as she wished, but being in the public eye comes with its drawbacks. Tulisa eventually found a way to deal with the haters and continued to make music for her fans, along with learning meditation and practicing martial arts.
It was in the year 2020 that Tulisa revealed she had Bell’s Palsy, a nerve disorder that can cause a single side of the face to become completely paralyzed.
She had gotten into an accident years before the reveal, which had left her with nerve damage responsible for the disorder. When Tulisa was first diagnosed with it, she claimed she locked herself in her home for months so that she could avoid the public eye.
Fast forward to 2022, N-Dubz was all set to make a comeback into the world of R&B and Hip hop. This meant that Fazer, Dappy, and Tulisa were to return as a group and perform tours throughout the country and various other places.
When Tulisa re-emerged in 2022, it was apparent that she had gotten more work done on herself. She now looks very different from her old self. It’s not always cosmetic surgery, as age plays an important role in appearance too, but her lips now had more volume. She had also had fillers in her cheeks as an anti-aging treatment. It’s no secret as Tulisa herself has talked about her procedures in many interviews.
Tulisa: Where Is The Singer Now?
Tulisa could care less about what people think of her face as she’s all geared up to start the N-Dubz summer tour soon. The group has revealed on their social media that this is going to be a fun and nostalgic tour for their old fans and that it finally feels like home getting to perform for them once again.
