Fans were overwhelmed to see Billy Baker trying to make up to Spencer over voice notes, taking care of his children, and showing a sense of responsibility toward the safety of the football players. But what fans were not aware of is the fact that this affectionate character of All American was soon going to make us all cry.
We see Billy Baker trying to connect to Spencer, but he switches his phone off. While on the bus with Ash and the whole football team, Billy Baker has a hearty conversation with Ash about the feeling of becoming a dad. Suddenly, all those on the bus hear a nasty sound that alerts them on something horrific is going to happen, the bus flips, and almost all those on the bus get injured.
Many of the players and Billy get rescued from the bus. Billy calls home to let everyone know that he is safe and will soon go back home. Everyone in his family feels relieved after hearing the good news. Billy then checks if everyone from the bus is rescued or not, and he discovers that Jabari is still trying to survive in the crashed bus.

As we know how responsible Billy was towards his loved ones. He makes the impulsive decision to save Jabari and, in the struggle, to let him out of the bus, Billy supposedly loses his life. In the end, Grace visits Billy’s house with the traumatizing news of Billy’s fatal accident.
Billy Baker’s Death: is it Actually the Truth?
In the 12th episode of All American, it was made clear that Billy Baker really died in a bus accident. We saw all of his family members and loved ones mourning his death, Jabari feeling guilty because he thinks that he is the reason why Billy died, and also spencer finding himself in agony.
But fans do not want to believe that Billy Baker is actually dead, the reason being his death was not properly shown in the scene, so there is no proof that he died. What fans only saw was that everyone believed he died. So what is the probability that Billy Baker will reappear in the show again?
Well, there is nearly no possibility that fans will get to see Billy again in the show. Because Taye Diggs, the actor who played Billy Baker, has officially departed from the show, Nkechi Okoro Carroll (showrunner) has confirmed the same.
He said that he loved working with Taye Diggs as he put life to Billy’s heroic character. Nkechi also loved seeing how compassionate and adoring Billy’s character was, that writers loved writing about it. He wished Taye the best in his future endeavors and assured everyone that he would remain a member of the All-American family.
Billy Baker is dead, but he may reappear on the screen in the coming episodes in the flashback scenes. Even though it is bad news for every All-American fan that they will not be able to see Billy Baker again, the plotline of the show has a lot in store to intrigue fans in the future.
